Firestone Complete Auto Care

Brought my car in for an alignment complaining of a right sided pull. They fixed the alignment well, but the tire pull was still there and handed me a recommended $900 tire replacement bill. First thing that runs through my head is 'Its a tire shop. Rip off.' \r Ended up going to a dealership only for them to find that my right tire was completely bald on the inside 1/2, failing, and the steel belts inside were starting to separate. \r Brought the tire back to show what they missed and they were insistent that they recommended tire replacements because of the problem that I claimed. \r The point is, if you actually saw the condition of my tire, you'd be surprised that I haven't crashed yet. Firestone did an alignment, missed a basic diagnosis, and failed to warn me about the gravity of the situation and instead, only recommended an extremely high bill. more

THIS PLACE IS A RIPOFF. Don't go there. These people won't even look at your car, they will come back in a while and tell you something needs to be fixed or else your car will die today.\r I was told that my engine had a major oil leak! I was like, WHOA?? Was also told that if I did not fix it asap, the engine would run out of oil and fail..\r I took a thorough look at it myself and also took it to another mechanic, there was no leak/ oil loss whatsoever, the engine and chassis were dry as a bone. Between oil changes ( or 3K miles) , the oil has always stayed at "Max". The only residue that was there was caused by removing and replacing the oul filter..that too had dried up long ago. more

Stopped in for an oil change (had a discount coupon) and was rather dissatisfied with their speed: slow. The normal price for an oil change is a bit high, too, only tried them because I had the coupon. Considering I recently bought new tires for my car only a few months earlier, I was surprised they "recommended" I replace my tires with whatever they sold (tuned them out on this part.....) In short, I would speculate they are not an honest shop, or at least looking out for those that might not be any the wiser to their slick sales attempt. PROS: CONS: Tried selling me tires I didn't need. Slow. Overpriced without a coupon. more

Firestone is known for their tires, but I stopped by to get an oil change. They charge some ridiculously high amount for an oil change, but always have discount coupons available. I got mine done for $12.95. Not too bad. The issues I have with them is 1) They use only a 5W-30 weight Kendall oil. I had no option to substitute a different weight (I prefer 10W-30) or a different brand. 2) They took 45 minutes to change my oil - and that was when they weren't very busy. Finally, they recommended I get new tires and proposed their middle of the road FR-440 tire for my car. This is a popular tire. They sell a lot of them. However, an internet search showed me that most people who bought that tire were dissatisfied and wouldn't buy it again. The good part is their store is clean and they did a fine job of changing the oil. PROS: Clean, within walking distance of good coffee CONS: Not a lot of choices, and the choices were not great. more
