Review of Mixed Martial Arts Classes at Fearless Fitness 1/19/2010

Recently, I joined the Fearless Fitness gym in Foster City to continue to practice MMA. My previous training experience is about a year of basic grappling and striking at another gym in the East Bay near my home. My experience thus far is that Fearless Fitness is the type of place that TEACHES mixed martial arts as opposed to just throwing you in a ring after 30 minutes of instruction. By training at Fearless I?ve been able to UNDERSTAND how techniques should be applied in order to make the movement effective and efficient. more

Best place in foster city 12/26/2009

Having been disappointed with my previous school , I was looking for a change and I found fearless in arts of wine festival. They offered free sessions of each of the class they provide and let us choose the one we liked. I was looking for Martial arts and a meditative environment and a meditative teacher. And I found it here. I like my kung fu teacher a lot, because he has a very good energy and teaching ability. I also like it that other teachers encourage me to build my strength by making me use their various equipment during the open-mat sessions. more

Great instructors, Great facility, Perfect for kids and teens 6/1/2007

My 13-year old son has been taking martial arts for 8 years, including the last 18 months at Fearless Fitness. Under the expert instruction and guidance of the fabulous Fearless Fitness teachers, I've watched him grow from an ""average"" martial arts student who was not really enthusiastic about training into a strong, confident, and motivated student. Most importantly, he really loves going to class and the techniques he is learning are making him into a better, more well-rounded martial artist. Pros: Flexible schedule, friendly and experienced instructors, comfortable atmosphere more

serious fun, great atmosphere 6/1/2007

Fearless Fitness is the best. I get an inspired workout in a positive environment, while learning self defence techniques. They have classes in self defence, Mixed Martial Arts, Western Martial Arts (swordfighting), and pure cardio. The instruction is amazing - personalized and practical - and the whole staff is supportive. I highly recommend Fearless for kids and adults whether your interest is self defence, a great workout, learning to spar, or playing with swords. Pros: great instruction, fun atmosphere more

Fun, practical martial arts 5/31/2007

I've been doing martial arts for 4 years, and I have both seen and heard the horror stories about overzealous instructors, useless techniques and too much emphasis on looking pretty over learning practical skills. I'm an 'older' student (let's just say over 35!) and a not-so-big woman, so I also have to be particularly careful to train without getting hurt. Fearless Fitness has been great. They focus on practical techniques and building overall fitness. They take a personal interest in the training of each student and accommodate injuries well. I really look forward to each class I go to there. It's a fun group, and the classes seem to be over way too fast. more
