I have been going to the Robertson clinic for a couple of years now, and have always enjoyed my visits with very few exceptions.
The waiting room is clean and quiet, but has a kids toy nook and a TV for little ones. I don't remember ever having any significant wait time, either for my baseline exam, or the actual vision testing done by the Dr. Robertson! That goes a long way, in my book.
The frames selection is more than adequate, and staff seems very knowledgeable about different insurance coverages.
The only snag I encountered, was one female staff member who seems generally irritable at best, and intolerant to children with language impairments at worst. Although I am extraordinarily strict with my son in public and maintain close supervision of his every action (he has speech delays, but is exceptionally polite and compliant), he is a preschooler, nonetheless. It did not sit well with said employee when he picked up a halloween prop sitting next to a sunglasses display, and carried it around. I am always the first to correct my son, often at the dismissal of sympathetic bystanders, so this was a little irritating, because I could not find anything inappropriate about his behavior. Not only was he careful (although it was a plastic decoration), but he was quiet! I chalked up the surliness to being in the wrong place at the wrong time (just one of those days?), but have since seen on subsequent visits, both with and without my child, that it seems to be a pattern.
Overall, though, the occasional irritating personality clash is not worth uprooting my records and history to another optical practice. The thoroughness and accuracy of the exams, and quality of eye wear clearly outweigh the abrasiveness of one employee. I
