Eyecare Plus

This place is bad! I went here 5 times and had the wrong prescription for glasses given to me twice and was never able to get contacts b/c the Dr's kept ordering different lenses. I now am going someplace else b/c I simply refuse to go back. I have never received worse health care. more

We have found Eyecare Plus to be very professional and customer-oriented. Dr. Schmidt found a problem with my eye that had not been detected by the opthalmologist we had previously been seeing for several years. My husband experienced a problem with his eyes while on vacation in another state. Dr. Schmidt called him several times during our trip to make sure he was OK, offering to help him find a doctor if needed. We will continue to utilize Dr. Schmidt at Eyecare Plus as well as recommend him to friends and family. more

The doctor kept prescribing a prescription for my daughter who had an ulcer on her eye instead of waiting for her eye to heal and make sure it was healed. Come to find out he never read the chart to see she had an ulcer until I brought it to his attention. Finally got her prescription right after numerous visits. This doctor has since left. So I go for my self and had prescription glasses made. When I went to pick up I couldnt see out of them. After multiple visits I finally was able to have a decent exam. Go to pick up the glasses and they have the worst scratch on them. Needless to say, I will deal with it. Don't want to step foot back in this place. Multiple office errors. more

I have been an Eyecare Plus patient since 2005. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. I generaly try to see either Dr. Collins or Dr. Schmidt but this year I was only able to be seen by Dr. Yi. She was very professional & my new perscription is perfect. more

terrible!! the Doctors are bad-they eye exam machine was way off in one of the rooms and I kept telling the doctor and finally we changed rooms-then the doctor tried to give me the wrong glasses until i objected and got the right type. more

Having used Eyecare Plus in Rivergate, I was a very satisfied customer. Then they moved to Hendersonville so I decided to give the Green Hills office a try, since I work downtown and it's so much more convenient than Hendersonville. When I Googled the Green Hills location, I was somewhat alarmed at the negative comments on Citysearch. But I decided to give them a try anyway since Eyecare Plus already had my prescription and insurance info in their system. To my pleasant surprise, I have not one negative comment. The staff greeted me instantly and already had my paperwork filled out from my appointment phone call. I was examined by a technician after a 2-3 minute wait, saw the doctor (who was awesome!) within a few minutes and was on my way back to work in a little over an hour. So, all you naysayers ... granted, I scheduled a 1:15 p.m. Wed. appointment so maybe you went on a Saturday or some peak time. There was only 1 other person waiting when I arrived. Maybe the staff has changed. All I ask is for you to give them another chance since your bad experience. But I will continue to get my eyewear/contacts from Eyecare Plus Green Hills for the foreseeable (pun intended) future. Thanks for a great office experience! First the appt for a typical vision exam took 2 hours, within that two hours I listened to inappropriate personal conversations the staff had in front of a lobby full of patients, had the dr get my prescription wrong twice.... I know this b/c after putting in my ""new"" prescription, not only was it weaker than anything I'd ever had, but the letters were still blurry! DUH DR! After waiting 7 weeks for my contacts to arrive, I called only to be told that for them to send them to me they would charge me... this place is totally rediculous, I'm not sure how they've stayed in business, don't go here, use your insurance money to go somewhere they can be professional and get it right.... I am a customer there, the store is fine but the service is horrible. The people who work there don't help you and you will never find them smiling. One of the woman that I had went to,just sat there and didn't offer to help. Very rude behavior. I would give it a 1 for customer service and a 4 for the place. I went to the Clarksville location and I had a wonderful experience! The staff was very friendly and outgoing. Dr. Howard did a great job. I purchased glasses and had both Ashley and Megan help me. They were an absolute blast. I would highly recommend this office!! Pros: Staff and Service more

When I arrived at this location i was happliy greeted by a spunky red head and a little tiny brown haired girl. They were quite a hoot and pleasure to be around. The little brown haired girl turned out to be a doctors assitant and she was great at her job! she offered me a way not to be dilated and it was awesome. I think her name was Tabitha and she finished me up in my contacts and brought me back out to get glasses witht the spunky red head that I think her name was Meghan or Melissa, I am not sure. They had great customer service and I will continue to return. As a hard working indviual they gave me the most for my money and a few good laughs too! Thanks Ladies! Oh yeah the insurance ladies were awesome they offered me deals that saved more money in the end Pros: Great Team work more

I have been a customer for almost 2 years and have never had a good experience. I would show up for appointments only to find that an employee ""must have accidentally deleated it from the system"" and twas asked to reschedule. I was already in the office! They didnt even try to fit me in. Ridiculous! They have never gone out of the way to provide customer satisfaction. I have been waiting to hear back from them regarding a contact situation for 3 weeks!!! I will never do business with them again. They offer no apologies nor do they attempt to right any wrongs they have done. more

I've been trying for 1 month to receive my polarized Ray Ban sunglasses which I purchased. Pros: 2 really nice appologetic ladies in Green Hills Cons: poor selection, not very professional, just a bad experience overall more

I believe they need to hire more help, and need to have Customer Service training. I'm not sure if Valu Vision stores in Nashville have new Management but they are going down rapidly. Pros: They are in a good area Cons: Stop is unclean and unorganized more

Last year I went to the Doctor's Value Vision on Hillsboro Road and was unimpressed with the shewroom of eyewear and was shocked at how dirty the cases were. This year I decided to try Eyecare Plus in the Talbots shopping center and was even less impressed. I went in to get sunglasses this year since last years frames are still fine. The had 9 pairs to choose from! I mentioned this meager selection to the staff and was told I could get sunglasses in any frame. I personally like the beefy sides and rims of traditional sunglasses- their remedy would not do for me. I also looked at the other frames for regular glasses and they were not what I expect to see in a shop in Green Hills. I left and went to lenscrafters in Green Hills Mall and bought my frames and lenses out of pocket (they don't take my insurance). more
