June 25th of 2008 my keys had fallen out of my purse. Unaware instructor gave them to receptionist;which were placed them in her drawer, locked and she went home. Several hours later, I'm leaving the building I then realize that I don't have my keys; I'm retracing my steps going back to the car to see if they had fallen on the floor. I'm stranded, I return back in the school when security tells me they were given to the receptionist. This is after I descibe my keys! One staff person left at school as we approach her and explain what occured, she responds that I would just have to come back tomorrow to retrieve them. I'm persistant in telling her that I am stranded and that I do not live in Henderson. She ask us to go downstairs and that she would meet us there. Minutes pass, she arrives saying that she contacted someone. I ask what did they say, she only left a message on their machine and that is the only phone number that she had. Stressed I insist someone needs to open the drawer to retrieve my keys. At this time she ask sercurity to have me leave the building. When I stepped outside the doors lock behind me. I'm looking through the window in amazement she is just standing there. I call the police, she then comes out makes a statement that if she was 100% sure the keys were mine she would open the door, but since she is not sure she can't open the drawer and then she walks away to her car and goes home. When the police arrive I explain the situation, we located the contact sheet, they contact a staff person; the staff person calls the officer back to make sure their an officer and gives him the receptionist phone number. The officer has to send a patrol car to the receptionist house to get the keys to bring to the school. The patrol car arrives at the school hands the keys to the security officer; he unlocks the drawer hands me the keys. I say thank you to the both officer go to my car get in and go home. TRUE STORY!!! This took two hours!
