Best Ballroom Dance Studio in Savannah 10/1/2010

We have been ballroom dancing at Essie's studio for over 10 years and are still doing so because we throughly enjoy the professionalism, instruction and friendliness that the instructors bring to this studio as well as the comradery of the students. The instructors are extremely knowledgable and translate this knowledge easily to the students. more

I'm not going to give them any stars, but they aren't that bad. The owner, Ebi, is friendly, at least, but their instruction could use a little updating. I personally like going there, though I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. more

New Kids on the Block!!! 7/19/2010

I took a lesson at the Southland dance studio with their new teachers, blew me away. I realize how much money I have wasted with this bunch. They kept the wool over my eyes for a long time. I'm a little angry that they charged me so much for poor instruction. Plus, they ran off my teacher. Heck, actually everyone but the owner himself quit because the place is a dead end. Tumble weeds. Pros: They really are nice. Cons: They are more socializers than teachers. more

Mack McKenzie is the best of the best dance instructors 4/13/2008

Mack McKenzie is young and talented. He makes you feel as if you can do anything after 5 minutes with him. I went in feeling totaly incompetent with no talent in my 2 left feet, Mack made me feel at ease and showed me some moves that have had my feet moving ever since. I love to dance and feel good about myself now. The school is a lot of fun and very comfortable for the insecure. Thanks Mack for all the confidence and those steps I never believed I could master. You are the best dancer I have ever seen. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You have made me feel good about me. Pros: every minute spent there is a positive experience Cons: can't think of a negative thing to say, that's a first. more
