hair cut 9/2/2010

i'm very picky with who I go to for my hair color & cut. once you screw it up, i'm never coming back. the staff was friendly. i'm so happy that i can get my hair cut here and then get other things done at the same place so i dont have to drive elsewhere. i was very happy with how my cut came out- i like to let them know what i want before they start and when i say i want a trim, i want just that- trim meaning i dont want 4-5inches cut off at the end of it all. i will definitely come back to try other services. more

My Mountain Retreat! 8/19/2010

Going to Epitome is like taking a vacation during a hectic day...utterly priceless! Getting out of the heat, traffic, and general LA attitude is a difficulty for a working woman, or a non-working woman for that matter, but Epitome takes care of everything for me. I can book online, they call ME to confirm, when I get there they have the most amazing cucumber/lemon water, and the staff always takes extraordinary steps to make sure my experience is a breeze. Brava! more

Bel-Air's best kept secret 8/5/2010

Don't know what these people below are talking about. I've never had a bad experience at this salon. Staff is very professional. They are attentive and take care of my needs - very skilled and it reflects in their work. Wouldn't go anywhere else. more

this is the snobiest most expensive place i've been too, I got a cut and color, 350$ later I must say its not worth the money i forked out, I can pay half of that and go elsewhere and get better results, when I asked the owner why so expensive she said "" P Diddy comes here"" unfreakingbelievable...... more

Great Energy,Good Vibes! 11/14/2007

I had my haircut today by hairstylist Michelle Smith at Epitome Hair Salon in Bel Air, and what a great experience it was. Even the drive there along Mulholland Dr. through the canyons was so peaceful and enjoyable for a perfect afternoon drive. Incredible haircut, fantastic green tea, awesome head massage, including an great pedicure and manicure by Cindy. I highly recommend this salon, such a nice change from the big Beverly Hills Salons. Pros: Easy parking, great atmosphere. more

This super chill and relaxed environment puts you right at home the moment you walk thru those doors. The knowledgeable and informative staff make you feel right at ease with whatever service you choose to partake in. And let me tell you there menu of services is endless... What don't they do??? I've gotten my hair done there (the girl with the curly hair is phenominal), tanned (both booth and spray), facials (there are many to choose from), waxing, make-up, even had a round of botox... I find myself stopping by just to say ""Hi"" and visit. You should really take the time to check this place out and find out for yourself, promise you won't be dissappointed. Best full sevice salon 10/2/2007

How convenient to come upon a salon right in my neighborhood that not only has all the services that I need, but, a highly skilled, friendly staff. I came in just for a blow-dry and ended up getting a tan, my nails done, and brow wax. My hair looked so amazing, I didn't need to wash it for several, several days. The next week, a girlfriend and I spent the day there, getting facials, a scalp treatment and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere. Even if you don't live close to the salon, I would highly recommend coming up to the Glen Center( in the hills) for an afternoon retreat. The surrounding shops and restaurants are fabulous and the salon visit made me feel beautiful and rejuvenated. Pros: ambience, service, parking more

a hidden gem!!! 2/19/2007

i stumbled across epitome salon by accident while visiting one of my favorite little village shopping centers (the Glen Centre) in Bel-Air. i walked in and was pleasantly surprised with what i found. cool thing about epitome is that they are a boutique size salon, but yet they offer more services than a lot of large salons do that i've been to. staff is super friendly and laid-back - inside vibe is really fun (good music, flat screen tvs, beautiful plants). i had some waxing done (great esthetician - relatively painless) and some highlights in my hair - turned out beautiful :) i'm definitely going back! they say they take lots of walk-ins, too ... always a good thing! Pros: 7 days a week, laid-back/fun vibe, free valet parking more
