Leah, did such an amazing job on my hair. She gave me great tips and advice on how to maintain my hair to be looking and feeling healthy. I also purchased Mythic Oil product that she recommended for me and I Love it!! She even stayed really late to do my hair highlights, treatment, and trim. In someways, I feel like I don't want to share my FAVORITE hairstylist because shes a DIAMOND, but because she deserves the PRAISE I must say Leah is INCREDIBLE. I get my hair designed by her 2-3 times per year and she's never given me a cut I didn't LOVE. She has been doing my daughter's hair for a long time (longer than mine), and I can be assured that my hair won't look too much like hers (we are two women who tend to have similar styles and sometimes have to try to be UNIQUE). The last haircut I received, I had so many COMPLIMENTS on it, it was kind of crazy.\r \r I recently had a Global Keratin Treatment and my hair washed & styled for a very special event (my 40th anniversary!!!) and Leah did a great job getting it silky smooth. My hair was PERFECT all night, and looked AMAZING in all my photos. These will be great MEMORIES for years to come. My hair still looks amazing, I wonder what Leah's SECRET is? more

Leah, at Elkae Salon IS the best! Elkae Salon has a great atmosphere: active but not overbearing. And best of all, it has great stylists like Leah. Leah has the ability to see not only what might look good on me, but also what suits me as a person. She started designing my new style about 3 years ago, and I waS HOOKED. I trust her absolutely, knowing that her instincts are good and her styling skills are GREAT! more

I've been going to Elkae Salon for about 5 years, and I can't believe I'm just now writing a review. This is my absolute go to place for everything hair.\r \r LEAH is my colorist, and she is excellent. She takes the time to listen to me, walk me through the process, and will talk through a game plan for when I get a wild hair and want to go from black to platinum. She makes sure that I'm happy but and keeps my hair healthy.\r \r She is my stylist, too. I can't recommend her enough. She also takes the time to make sure I understand the cut that I'm getting, best practices for styling at home, and will listen to any questions or thoughts I may have about a different style. She is honest and will find a style that works for your face and your lifestyle.\r \r The rest of the staff is top notch and so nice and helpful. \r \r Leah strives for excellence in all levels, an it shows.\r \r I love knowing that when I go there that I'm going to be happy/laugh and coming out looking amazing. Trust me, you'll fall in love with this place just like I did. more

The best PERSONALIZED color & cut I have EVER been given. Leah is a FABULOUS hair artist. Can anyone say ""HAIR WHISPERER""? I walked into Elkae Salon to see 4 stylists laughing and having a goo time and immediately felt at ease in this salon. The stylists ARE very good at their craft. There was a variey of age groups present this day and was once again assured by the lead stylist that everyone was classically trained in their craft. The laughter and great music just seemed so contagious that day. I had a great time.\r The price was very competitive to the skill sets aquired by all the stylists especially compared to the other salons in the area. I received a COMPLIMENT by another client of this salon as I wAs leaving...and from a total stranger!!! CLIENT FOR LIFE!!!!!\r more

I was in search of a new stylist and coming from who I thought was the very best was a difficult thing for me. Well, I have a new ""very best"". Her name is Leah and she owns Elkae Salon. I walked in the salon and felt immediately relaxed, was welcomed and introduced to the the other stylists. Leah offered me something to drink and I asked if she had coffee...she actually brewed me a fresh cup. The salon is very relaxed and comfortable. You will immediately feel like family...kind of like ""Cheers"", but instead of a bar, it's a salon. I presented Leah with a few pictures of what I was trying to achieve. She gave me what I was looking for plus so much more! The colors she achieved for my hair are amazing and the cut is to perfection...just like her! While Leah worked her magic I was able to observe the other stylists and all of them are top notch, with wonderful results. Thank goodness I went on the web in search of a new salon! I am no longer searching, I've found the best kept little secret in Largo...Elkae Salon! more

My stylist was Leah and I was 100% satisfied with my hair and the miracle she performed to my frizzy lifeless hair . Leah brought it back to life and took me from a brownish red color to a beautiful soft vibrant beautiful blond . I absolutely love it and would recommend her to anyone , everything was so professional and I felt very comfortable there. This is where I am going to go from now on . more

Driving from Fort Myers!!!! 5/21/2012

Leah's Amazing.... I have gone to plenty of hair salons but after I was referred to Elkae Salon, I never had to look again. I drive all the way from Fort Myers, once a month to get a new syle/design from Leah. She is beautifully amazing. I have been going to her for a couple of years and she is extremely talented. She knows what she is doing. I think she has the most clientele because of her talent and quick-witted personality. Check out Elkae Salon and get a haircut with Leah! I promise you'll love it! more

Every time i walk into Elkae Salon I am treated like the QUEEN that I am! I will never go to another salon, as long as I continue to get this wonderful ""star treatment"". I Love Leah! 4/24/2012

I've been coming to the Elkae Salon on East Bay Drive for just under 2 years now and my hair has never been healthier! I have super-fine hair that always fell flat and lifeless due in part to genetics and partly because of over-processing/heat styling. Now I have Leah (my AWESOME certified master stylist!) making sure we gently color my hair as to not damage. She really understands my hair and cuts it in such a way that I look like I have more hair (Leah does an AMAZING job with my fine hair). She always takes the time to understand what I want before doing anything and is sure that I like it when she's finished. Leah takes the time to show me what products would work for me and explains how to incorporate them into my daily routine. I highly recommend the deep conditioning treatments - it will do wonders for your hair. It's definitely worth the extra $!!!! more

Always a great cut 4/20/2012

Leah has been cutting my hair for about a year and she's the best stylist I've had. I've never had a bad cut and receive lots of nice compliments.\r \r We moved from Clearwater to Tampa but my wife and I still drive to Elkae because of what a fantastic job she does.\r \r We highly recommend Elkae! more

WASTED $$$ all those years!!!!! 4/20/2012

I love Elkae Salon! I have had my color & hi-lights done here plenty of times but always had another girl who did my extensions for years, well I just had them redone by Leah, and they are BEAUTIFUL! You can't even tell its hair extensions, they are so much lighter on my head and the hair itself feels just like mine! I am so glad to find someone like Leah, who can put them in and shape the layers I need! I've had extensions for years and only wish I would have been referred to Elkae Salon sooner. Now I feel like ALL my money was wasted in the past. Thanks Leah for my new look! See you in a couple weeks! more

Easter Holiday Hair Must-See 4/3/2012

I have spent the last couple of weeks searching for a new hair salon. I have done alot of my research right here on CitySearch, too. Leah's cuts are the PERFECT solution to boring hair! I received my first GLOBAL KERATIN treatment, too. She was wonderfully informative throughout the entire process and my hair looks silky smooth & beautiful! My hair has not felt this beautiful since I was much younger. I am going to look great for Easter with my family and friends. INDESCRIBABLE! 3/27/2012

INDESCRIBABLE! I love my new style! I am very hard to please......but, I can't stop looking at my hair in the mirror, thanks to Leah(she makes me feel great about myself) correcting my color and shaping my new hair design. Leah had brought out my natural highlights. The Elkae Salon staff does continuing education and uses professional hair products. These 2 factors alone should entice anyone wanting a new style or color to try this salon. Leah will be my #1 pick for years to come. more

I've trusted their professional hair stylists with my beauty and they always exceed all of my expectations. The stylists always make me feel special. The clientele always makes me feel welcomed. Fixed the WORST haircut!!!! 3/5/2012

Leah Saved My Hair!!! First, I have to say, this salon is FANTASTIC!! I just moved here from Miami. I'm new in town & had gotten - just a few hours prior - the WORST haircut of my life at a ""top-rated"" national chain salon. I called Elkae Salon and literally hours later Leah, fixed my awful haircut and did so with a smile! I will definitely be back in 6 weeks - highly recommended!! more

LOVE THIS SALON! I have been going here for over a year... Happened to stumble upon it when I lived on West Bay Drive. Leah, my stylist is AMAZING! She is Certified Master Stylist- understands how my hair grows, so she cuts each side of my head different to get an even cut. She is the first stylist who takes that into consideration when cutting. I've had my hair colored 4 times, and every time it has been the best color. The salon is very spacious and clean. My Keratin Treatment worked wonders for my hair. I have RECOMMENDED my mother (who got a color, cut, and blow out). She has curly hair, and I have NEVER seen her hair look so GORGEOUS. My girlfriend, got a cut, highlight/low light, and blow out, and her hair was black before... Can we say BOMBSHELL, after?! Better hurry and have your hair done at ELKAE SALON with Leah today!!!! more
