I love my new 2002 Carrera Cabriolet. My Salesman (Marty) was very instrumental in getting me financed and actually was a big influence in my purchase. I had been in contact with him about a week prior to actually bidding on the car and he encouraged me to allow him to run my credit and he was confident that he could find a lender to suit my situation. Wylah!!!! I was approved and I was very anxious to pay the buy it now price for the vehicle. Once I arrived at the dealership I realized how busy the salesmen were and was welcomed by Craig because my salesman was busy with another customer at the time. After Marty finished his business with his client he worked diligently with me to make sure the transaction was as smooth as possible. Marty is a true example of a superior salesman who will go above and beyond to satisfy the customer. more

Last Saturday, I found a bmw 750 on a car website (autotrader). It was a car I've been looking for some time so I decided to call to make sure it was still on sale before making such long trip, from Elgin to Mundelein. I spoke to Diego, who told me he'd call me back in 10-15 minutes and let me know if the car was available. After a little while Diego did call me back, and told me the car was indeed available. I then told him I'd be over in a couple of hours, around 2pm or so. When I got there, Diego had cleaned up the car, and got it ready for us to drive. We took it for a test drive. I was very impressed with the vehicle. When we got back, after a little negotiating, we were ready to purchase the car. Then we went over to the finance office where I met with Debra, the finance manager. We got the financing, and paperwork out of the way, in a bit of time. It was the single, easiest car purchase I have ever been a part of. Before we left we met with Mark, the general sales manager, who thanked us personally. I definitely plan on coming back, and recommending these guys. more

Came in to purchase a Porsche, looked at a few vehicles and Elite Motors had the best price I could find. Craig was very courteous and professional, he told me upfront that the car had only one key and all the books were in the glove box. The tires were at about 60%, but I’m aware of the fact that the car is 4 years old. Everything went smooth until I went to Debra to sign the paperwork. I saw some of these reviews when doing research, and I’ll be honest I got upset when she was adamantly trying to convince me to buy a warranty. I did have the car inspected by a 3rd party Porsche dealer prior to driving in and was told the car is in great condition. Bless her for convincing me to get it, I thought I would cancel it in a month or two, and then a break down occurred. It would have cost me almost $5,000.00 since the car was out of manufacturer’s warranty. At the end of the day I spent a fraction of the sticker price on a new one, and have the same warranty coverage, can’t beat that. I love my car, and I’m grateful to their staff. The moral of the story is don’t be offended when they offer you warranty protection, even if the car is perfect today it’s bound to break down at some point, even if it’s a month later. more

Do not buy from!!!! I agreed on a total out the door price and then they switched up contracts and try to enforce VIN ETCHING that only go's on the Glass, not the sheet metal of a car and other exaggerated fees. They refuse to refund money and won't return calls. The better business Bureau is the next step with this sleazy outfit!!! Do not buy from. more

Really great staff and tended to all my concerns. Got a great deal and will come back indefinitely. Excellent experience overall. When I returned there to service my breaks, I got a carwash and complete inspection for free. more

The mini is awesome. Very happy customer. Came one day earlier than expected too! I will be referring as many people as I can to you! Although this is the least expensive car I have ever purchased, I can already tell you that I have never owned a car that has made my day as much as this one.... I've had BMW 540i six speed's and seven series that can't compare to the way I feel about the Mini. This was the perfect car for me. I purchased this vehicle sight unseen and it was better than expected when I received it. I am a Ebay Buy It Now customer and the whole process with Elite Motors was 1st class! just took delivery on a 2006 550i. for the most part in good condition. I didn't do a good job of determining previous owner was a smoker and so residual smell is bad. no help from the dealer. not too surprised. \r \r this is a ""buyer be prepared"" dealership....sales people know very little about the autos (kept telling me I MUST have remote key fob inserted before starting vehicle - WRONG!) \r \r I kept askiing for second key and manual - ""we don't have those items!""....one week later shows up at the front door! they just push volume, service during the sale and professionalism are average to below average. \r \r little to no negotiating unless you come through Ebay....the sales guy stated that if I would have found it on Ebay, he would have directed me ""around their process"" to save that fee. So, they are abusing Ebay via this recommendation.\r \r in the end, i think the car will be fine but it's a crap shoot with this place. more

This is, by far, the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They sold me a car over 2 years ago and still have not sent me the title. It has been a huge headache for me! I more

Had an interesting experience, at least for me. I flew into O’Hare to pick up and Audi a6 4.2 which I couldn't find anywhere else. I picked up the car from Elite Motors in Mundelein (which was immaculate) got the lowest price on an extended warranty, a lower interest rate than my local credit union and the process took only twenty minutes! I couldn't believe how quickly the paperwork was done and how quickly I got out of there. Way to go Elite!\r Geoff T\r more

\r Bought a 2008 Porsche Cayenne from Elite Motors in Mundelein for $3000 less than anywhere else in the area. I live in Lake Forest and shopped for three weeks all around the Chicago area looking for the right price and right car. Elite had the car and the right price. I wanted everyone to know that we had been looking for a 2006 Mercedes ML 350 AMG (really hard car to find) for months and had no luck.(We live in California) I read reviews for Elite Motors and checked their website. They had many Mercedes in stock, including the one I was looking for. After contacting the dealership and telling them what I was looking for, Elite described the car they had and after agreeing a price I bought the vehicle sight unseen. The paperwork was done quickly and the car came in just as described. Re: Elite Motors, Mundelein \r \r I bought a 2007 s550 Mercedes from Elite Motors and decided to get an extended warranty. The finance manager, Alex P, explained the warranty completely and made sure that I didn’t have any questions regarding coverage. Long story short, several weeks later the Mercedes had a malfunction and had to be repaired. They repaired the car on time and explained what they did and which parts that were replaced. The warranty covered everything and I couldn’t be happier. Strongly recommend Elite Motors for anyone looking for a newer, pre-owned vehicle or that need a reliable car service center. \r \r happymans28 \r more

I recently purchased a pre-owned vehicle from Elite Motors and found my experience to be extremely unprofessional. I strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for a pre-owned car. My suggestion is to work directly with certified pre-owned manufacturers who stand behind their certification and warranties. Consider yourself warned - dealing with Elite Motors is the same as dealing with a private seller. Here's why - AFTER I had signed all financial paperwork, I was informed by their finance guy that they only had one key to a vehicle that I had just paid 45 thousand dollars for. To purchase an extra key costs $350, but Elite Motors was adament in their position that they would not cover this cost! Their view is that they only recieved one key so that is all they have to give out!! One would think that a car company looking to build customer loyalty and satisfaction would be willing to spend $350, especially after a customer just spend fair market value for one of their used vehicles. What made the situation worse was the unethical way that they proposed that I go about getting an additional key. They said that since the car was only a few years old I should sign up for the manufacturer's annual key coverage insurance. Once I was enrolled, they suggested that I report that I had lost a key in order to get an additional one! It is amazing to me that a car dealership would suggest such a scam. A better and easier solution was the one that proposed - try and reach out to the person who had traded in the car that I was now purchasing to see if they had any of the extra keys laying around (As a new luxury car, the original owner would have received 3 keys). To my knowledge, this was not done, and I never received a follow-up call or e-mail stating that they had tried to contact the previous owner. I had specifically requested that they follow-up with me on this point. Another minor detail that made my experience unpleasant was the poor attention to detail upon picking up the car. As an example, upon entering the car, I noticed old food (potato chips) that was present on the floor between the driver seat and middle console. Bottom line is this dealership does not take any steps to earn your trust and is completely unprofessional from start to finish. After this experience it comes as no surprise to me why used car dealerships have the bad reputation that they do. The service, and manner in which Elite Motors conducts business, strongly suggests that they are completely deserviing of this bad reputation. more
