I don't know the name of the resturant even though I've been there at least five times.It's across the street from the Tepeyac down the hill around fifty or so yards.Try the steak...

Gigantic Burritos 8/16/2005

Traditional Mexican food that is popular with the locals. They are famous for their Hollenbeck Burrito which is so big, it can be a challenge to finish. If you are really, really hungry, they also serve a “Manuel’s Special” which is twice as big as the Hollenbeck and impossible to finish by yourself. The dining area is small so you’ll have to wait for a table. For faster service, head for the take out window and eat outside. more

The Best Mexican Food In Los Angeles 8/4/2005

If you love Mexican food and love to eat lots of it, this is the place for you! El Tepeyac is small Mexican Cafe in East Los Angeles that draws big crowds every day. People wait in line to sit at one of the 10 tables to try one of their huge burritos...the Hollenbek burrito or Manuels special. They are open for breakfast at 6 a.m. every day of the week but Tuesday. They also have tacos, enchiladas, and taquitos, but burritos are their specialty. This is also a good place to take kids. more
