This is THE best Mexican restaurant in the Effingham/Chatham area. Their wait staff is super friendly. Their salsa is so fresh you can taste the cilantro in it. The fajitas are to die for. They love to try out your Spanish with them. It is a great family restaurant. It's inexpensive and you get tons of food! Excellent Fajitas- Except they don't make homeade tortillas 5/10/2008

We got multiple suggestions to try El Real. Everyone we know love this place. So we decided to try it. We have been spoiled for years living in Texas when it comes to Mexican. We have had many challenges trying to find something even coming close. We almost gave up until we tried El Real. Pros: Food is hot and fresh, great chips, salsa, fajitas Cons: Enchiladas are too saucy more
