EverRest Elite Series 13 SEER and 14 SEER Air Conditioners & Heat Pumps were installed at my home on July 3rd, 2013 by Edwin Stipe, Inc. The problem existed from the day one that the AC unit started up with a noise as high as 78 decibels - higher after being run for long period of times. Repeatedly the service was called and neither service man was able to resolve the problem. 4 months passed and I am still waiting for the service department to call me back and let me know how the problem will be taken care of. I am ready to report Edwin Stipe, Inc to the BBB. The 10 year warranty sounds good but when it comes to honor it that is a different story. The defected units should be replaced but I am still waiting for the day to be done. My registered letter to them went unanswered as of today Oct. 29, 2013.\r Their service person tried to correct the problems but I am still stock with an AC that starts up like a tractor, also the heat pump sounds like a drum. I do not recommend their services unless they replace the units. I will post the end result soon, since the 10 days of my time frame will be up on November 1, 2013. more

Overpriced-Sub contracts-poor service-worse follow up 10/15/2011

I heard a pop when I tried to turn on the unit and it never engaged. I was able to determine the breaker was still on but there was no power to the emergency shutoff box mounted to the unit. I also found an inline switch between that box and the breaker box. more

Overpriced and uses scare tactics 7/11/2011

I had an issue with a clogged drain on my heat exchanger and had to call for service. Upon receiving the bill, I was charged over 200 dollars for a service call within normal business hours.\r \r I was then told my furnace was extremely rusted and wouldn't be safe to have over the winter. I was quoted over 9k to replace the condenser, furnace, and exchanger. My house is under 1100ft..\r \r After receiving a second opinion, I found out that not only should it cost a couple grand less than that, my furnace was working fine and didn't need to be replaced before winter. Oh, and the flushing should have costed half as much as what I was charged for a 15 minute job.\r \r Thanks Edwin, at least you can get the job done. I hope others benefit from my post. more
