Edwards Grand Palace Stadium Cinemas

For local suburb theatres, the Edwards in Calabasas is a great place for a movie. It offers great stadium seating, various screens with different types of movies, great sounds, great picture quality. The theatre does have advertisements still. This is a big hassel for those who are anxious to get directly to the movie. A typical screening will hold several trailers as well as several commercials. The theatre is also located in the Calabasas Commons which is a great place to spend a night out. It has restaurants of various scale and price, a big Barnes and Noble book store, and other stores. There is also plenty of outdoor seating on benches and tables. The theatree is pretty clean and, again, does have good picture and sound quality. Also stadium seating is great to have. This is a great theater - roomy seats, great snack counter service. The theaters are not so loud that you're deaf when you leave from the movie...but maybe you could be from the gaggles of pre-teens that are dropped off by their parents on a Friday or Saturday night. They talk and relocate from one row to another throughout the entire movie, play with their cell phones, run around, throw things and generally disturb the entire place. The staff doesn't do much about it, either. Other than that, it's a wonderful theater - go on a weeknight for maximum enjoyment! more
