Eden Gate Restaurant & Lounge

I know some people joke about Asian people eating household animals, but walk into the bar at Eden Gate on a friday night and you are bound to see a woman toting her small dog around in her coat. The owner is aware that she brings this dog in. Imagine sitting in the restaurant and hearing a dog barking from the bar? Wonder what is in your dinner? Though the dog spends most of the time tucked safely in her coat, it has been seen running around on the floor, under tables and pool tables. When we asked the bartender or manager about it, there was no concern for public safety and/or their image. We have been going there for years, but can't see myself going back while a dog is welcome in the bar. Next, he will have his own stool. more

Long story short. We ordered 2 vegetarian dinners, one had pork and one had 2 coal black Asian hairs. When we complained about the pork the owner refused to speak to us, we could see him yelling and waving his arms at the waitress through their big kitchen window. So I told the waitress again that we weren't paying for pork, we've been vegetarian for years, as it was we were sickened by the ground pork we had eaten by the time we realized what it was, yet again he yelled and refused to take the price off the tab or speak to us. The waitress finally told us he is a very hot tempered jerk, she told us he regularly harasses and belittles his employees. Finally the waitress told us to just walk out, so for the first time in our lives, we walked out on a check under the waitresses advice!!! So if you want crap you didn't order that makes you barf and is covered with large Asian hairs, go here! If not, STEER CLEAR! more

I had a great experience at Eden Garden. I've only been there a few times, but each time the food was delicious. The food was served quickly and was nice and hot. The waitresses are friendly and efficient in their service. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean and is good for just eating by yourself or bringing a large family. They offer lunch specials and food to go. more
