Okay, I didn't get married yesterday, but after reading a few horrible reviews on this place, I felt I had to speak up. First off, no store is going to be gung-ho to help you if you say you're not getting the gown from there. Secondly, I've had so much praise of the gown I wore, and I paid as much for the gown, veil, and the trimmings, as my friend paid for her gown alone. Don't get me wrong, I didn't tell anyone this but my husband. These women were gracious, even when I changed bridesmaid gowns (and bridesmaids) twice! I loved it. And the gown was exactly what I wanted! Give them a chance, all!! :) more

I recently got married and purchased both my dress and my bridesmaids dresses at East West Bridal, and I had a great experience from start to finish. As the wedding dress shopping experience can be overwhelming, East West was extremely helpful in finding dresses that were a fit for my personality and body, you can tell they have been in the industry awhile. Compared to other shops I went to, I thought they had a great combination of attentiveness and allowing you to browse the racks yourself. I was so happy with THE dress that I purchased here and recieved many compliments on both it and my bridesmaid dresses. more

I went to East West Bridals today to be measured for a bridesmaids dress. I was in the store for a total of 3 minutes. The woman helping me was kind at first, when she asked if I'd be ordering the dress there and I said no, she turned extremely rude (which I could understand if I took a lot of her time - but I was literally there for 3 minutes). She said it was their policy not to do measurements for other stores. I explained the store is in Cleveland where the bride lives and I have no choice. She rudely told me that ""this is very awkward since you not buying it here"" and that I should have gone to a tailor (fair point). However, I'm in the process of helping my other NJ friend look for places to shop for bridal gowns. How short-sighted of this woman not to understand that though she did not have a sale from me today that I was a potential customer! Well, I will never be back! I went to East West Bridals in Secaucus about a month ago. The people were very friendly and helpful, and I thought I found the perfect gown. I had the lady write down the number and I told her I'd be back with my future mother-in -law so she could see it as well. I returned today hoping to have the same amazing feeling when putting on the gown. Unfortunately, this dress didn't have the ""wow"" factor I remembered it having...it just didn't seem right anymore. I am not a picky person, however, I am only going to have one wedding day, and I want to be dressed in something I feel great in. The lady working there snapped at my mother-in-law for no reason at all. I explained that I wasn't 100% sure anymore, and that I wanted to give it a little more thought and she snapped and told me ""I don't know what to tell you"" in a nasty voice. When my mom kindly thanked her and said we needed to think about it she again had a terrible attitude and said ""yea whatever"". I couldn't believe the lack of respect we received today. I walked out of the store with tears in my eyes and I couldn't get over the way we were all treated; it was absolutely un-called for. I ended up driving to North Bergen to Reba's Bridal and found a beautiful Maggie Sottero gown that i ordered! The staff was so helpful and friendly there, and they didn't make you feel like you had to commit to anything. I tried on about five gowns, and found the perfect one for my big day (it's a nicer gown and less money too). I strongly suggest you bypass East West Bridals...they clearly don't care about their customers and make you feel like you are an inconvenience to them....I'm sorry I put myself through such a negative experience. I went b/c my friend got a dress there too but I guess she has tougher skin. The owner is straight up rude or has a horrible sense of humor by talking down to and making fun of brides. Well, I should've waited until hear about the finished product b/c it turns out my friend picked up her dress and was told not to examine it when she picked it up b/c it would get dirty or wrinked. When she finally opened it up on her wedding day, turns out they didn't even do the bustle. When I got mine, I got the same treatment and turns out they didn't fix the loose beading that we told the seamstress about during our last fitting. They also measured me and decided to get the larger size even though most brides end up losing weight. I'm petite so the top was totally unproportionate. Go if you can deal with poor customer service and just want to purchase the dress w/o alterations b/c the prices can be pretty good. Good Luck! more

If you by chance come across east west bridal - I recommend you don't make a purchase here. Once they have your money - you can not speak to them until they are ready. Don't inquire about your alterations - when the dress may be coming in - color - swatch - they do not care & they will hang up on you. This is a crazy bridal store - I don't know how they are still open (people like me who don't know better). Don't make the same mistake I did - go to a nice place - it will cost the same and they will treat with respect. more
