I read many reviews before going there for the first time today, so I felt prepared for the worst. If you're new, the first thing you have to do is watch as safety video. It tells you 12 times NOT TO GO TO YOUR BENCH DURING CEASE FIRE! 10 times of those are direct succession. The staff I dealt with were no-nonsense kinda guys. They are direct, but helpful. If you are used to having your behind wiped for you by other people, this might not be the right place for you. I was helped with all of my questions in a courteous fashion. If you can follow basic instructions you'll be left alone. If on the other hand the concept of not going to your bench during cease fire for ANY reason is too complex, you will be yelled at! I like knowing that the staff tries to prevent people getting shot. I feel safe there, and you cannot expect them to say, ""Ahem, excuse me sir...? Please try to refrain from messing with you gun while other people are down range, If it isn't any trouble."" I WANT them to yell at the idiot who's essentially trying to shoot me.
Pros: dirt cheap compared to other ranges in the area, safety minded staff, helpful staff, close to Austin, outdoors
Cons: Bad reputation, no FMJ, rifle range only up to 300 yd, you'll get yelled at if you can't follow a few simple rules
