I had the worst experience at this driver's license center. My husband and I recently moved here from Indianapolis and went to the center to transfer our licenses - seems easy enough right? First, we waited for almost an hour for service. Then we were told that there was a system error because we were from the state of Indiana and that all of our paperwork needed to be faxed to Harrisburg to be processed. After waiting for about 2 hours for processing, I was able to receive my license, but my husband was not because of an error in his paperwork. They were unwilling to fix the error and try again because it was almost time for them to close. How ridiculous! They acted the entire time like it was our fault that it wouldn't go through. We had to go back on my husband's next day off to get his license taken care of. We were told to go straight to the center supervisor and explain the situation, and we were told that he would get it taken care of quickly. When my husband approached his man he was treated badly, told to sit down, and that he would be taken care of shortly. My husband sat and sat, reminded the man several times that he still needed service while the man helped several other customers that walked up to him (not taking a number), talked to some reporters, and had personal conversations with his employees. After over an hour of waiting we left. My husband called the Harrisburg center later that day, and was told that there was no problem in processing between Pennsylvania and Indiana and that there never should have been a problem. So after waiting 4.5 hours total at this dmv, my husband still does not have a driver's license and there never should have been a problem in the first place. The supervisor of this center should be fired. I've never experienced such terrible treatment in my life, and we still do not have what we need. If we would have know that penndot employees were so unfriendly, maybe we would not ever have moved here. Unfortunately, it's too late now!
