DR STEELY IS AN AMAZING SURGEON! I had a breast augmentation back in 2009 by Dr Steely. This is something I wanted for years but was so nervous. I did lots of research but noted that many plastic surgeons did not have the best reviews. Then I found Dr Steely and noted that nearly all of his reviews were 5 stars. \r On my initial visit he and his nurse Cindy made me feel so comfortable and truly listened to what I wanted. I told him I didn't want to look as if I had fake breasts. He took time to measure me and we chose the correct size for my body. I booked the surgery for the following week.\r The boutique hospital he uses in Bellaire was wonderful - very nice and knowledgeable staff. Dr Steely even called me at home that afternoon to make sure I felt okay. \r I have to say that my results are AMAZING and exactly what I wanted. I was barely a 34b and now wear 34d. I have low profile implants so Its makes it look very natural. So natural in fact that my mammogram tech always tells me that she can't believe how real they look and feel. She wanted his name so that she could tell her other patients. Three years later my results are still as great. Very Pleased with results!!!. I had a breast augmentation by a surgeon in NC 10 years ago that I was never really happy with and have always just lived with the results. I finally got the nerve to at least start looking into having the surgery corrected. I did meet with 5 of the listed top notch surgeons in the Houston area. I knew once I went for my consultation with Dr. Steely he was who I wanted to do my surgery. He along with his entire staff made me feel very comfortable. I felt like he listened to my concerns and knew exactly how to get me the results I had always wanted. I am about 4 months out from my surgery and could not be happier with the results. I do drive all the way from Louisiana to see Dr. Steely but the quality of care I have recieved from Dr. Steely is worth the drive. more

I had a breast reduction & lift performed by Dr. Steely one year ago. I wanted to wait and give the best review about my entire experience. I myself read many reviews and consulted with three different plastic surgeons before I decided on Dr. Steely. All three surgeons are skilled, have good reputations, and the cost comparable. It all came down to personality, bedside manner, and Dr. Steely's office staff. I was treated with kindness and professionalism by Dr. Steely and his staff (especially Cindy, his medical aesthetician). I felt comfortable. The surgery went fine at First Street Hospital in Bellaire. My only complaint was that the nurse let me go home without giving me something to drink and as soon as I drank something at home, I was vomiting--quite unpleasant after surgery. If you are concerned at all about nausea/vomiting, ask for a prescription to have at home with you. The post-op pain is tolerable. Take your pain meds. Take a stool softener/laxative...no really, take it! I went to work a week later. The breasts: I did not expect perfection, but they are great. I am so very happy. Before the surgery, my breasts were not in proportion to my body size. I couldn't wear many cute dresses and I had to special order swimsuits. And even though the scars are present, I'm not concerned about them at all. The scar around the areola is very well done and quite faint now. The other scars are healing quite nicely as well. I chose not to use the scar cream, so it will take more time for the scars to fade. I had never been happy with my breasts, even as a teen--now, I'm happy. For years I have maintained a very active and healthy lifestyle, but for some reason I could never lose the “extra weight” around the middle. I had old breast implants that we're basically stripper boobs removed and replaced with a more sporty size along with a lift. 12 yr old implants from another Dr were larger than i had asked for and sagging after 3 pregnancies, and a bit botched from the start.. Finding clothes and swim suits to wear after to school functions was very hard. I asked Dr Steely to lift them up and give me a smaller implant, that would still be full but would fit my body and lifestyle. Two days ago I had the surgery. I woke up feeling fine (the job from 12 yrs ago was worse than childbirth so I did not expect to be able to walk). It's been 48 hrs, and there is minimal pain, minimal bruising and swelling.. They already look so damn cute!! He partially moved one of my nipples over and made them more asymmetric.. A girlfriend and I went for our first consultation on the same day, same time, Dr. Steely and his staff had no problems seeing us together. We were both very nervous and wanted the comfort of having someone there we knew. From the time we walked in not only did the staff handle us with care but so did Dr. Steely. We both wanted breast augmentation and I couldn't be happier with everything. It was the easiest decision I've ever made about finding a Dr. Too bad they don't make primary care Drs. like him. From the consult to surgery Dr. Steely and his staff walked us thru everything. Nothing came to a surprise, Dr. Steely even called me at home hours after having surgery. The comfort level alone you will be over impressed. When you walk in every time they address you by name without having you sign in. Great Experience I went in for my free consultation and found the staff and Dr. Steely to be very nice, informative and caring of my opinions. Dr. Steely took the time to listen to me and what I wanted and then patiently told me what was possible and what I could expect. I saw one more Dr. after Dr. Steely and found him to be arrogant and wanted to add more and more to my list of wants. Needless to say I didn't use him and I cancelled all my other consults. I then called Dr. Steely and made my appointment. The surgery and recovery went off without a hitch. Dr. Steely even called to check up on me at home on a Saturday. The results of my mommy makeover (tummy tuck and breast lift) where even better than I expected. All my follow up visits went well and the staff was excellent in taking care of my needs and treating me like I was their only patient. I even got lost once on my way to their new location and they were very accomodating. My experience was so wonderful I am considering going back for a face lift in the very near future more

First, I want to make clear that the 1 star rating is not a rating of the doctor because I did not get the opportunity to meet the doctor. It is a rating of how he runs his office. I had a 1pm appointment today but had got lost. I called the office at approximately 12:55p (according to my cell phone call history) and let them know I was lost. I was hoping to get directions but was told that the doctor would not be able to see me and I can reschedule. Fine... whatever! I was disappointed. I took a half day from work and its wasted! So I called back 5 min later (again according to my cell phone call history) to see if maybe I can have a later appt today since I already took time off of work. Of course, the answer is no the doctor is booked today. I understand... Right after I hung up I saw the building! I was going to call back and see if I could see the doctor... I could be parked and inside in 5 min... but decided not to. Hey... I guess the doctor only allocated 10 minutes for my consultation. I have never had this experiance with any other doctors' office... Lol. Will continue my search for another doctor who hopefully will have a little more flexibilty and time. Who knows... He probably is a great doctor. more

It's been 3 months since my surgery. I had breast augmentation and LOVE LOVE LOVE the results. I got 350cc silicon gel implants and went from a 32a to a 32dd and look very natural. Dr. Steely is all about proportion and only suggests sizes that will look good on your frame. Initially I was nervous about having the surgery, but Dr. Steely and his staff made me feel super comfortable and let me know I was in good hands. I only had one other consultation with another leading Houston plastic surgeon but knew when I met with Dr. Steely that I would go with him. I would highly recommend Dr. Steely to anyone looking to have breast augmentation. I do not have any negative comments. My entire experience from start to finish has been amazing!!!!!!!! more

I have been wanting a tummy tuck for a few years now and I finally decided to move forward. I have been on a few consultations over the past couple of years and I understood that consultations can be very uncomfortable, especially when you have complexes with your body. Since I am new to Houston, I had to begin my search all over again. Based on internet research and reviews, Dr Steely was one of my top choices. From the beginning of the consultation I was very comfortable with Dr Steely's staff. To my surprise, Dr Steely was as gentle, kind, and compassionate as his staff. He took his time and discussed everything with me. He explained everything in detail. I was not rushed into a procedure, in fact, he told me that I should do some more research and think about it at least 2 weeks before I decide to move forward. By the time I left, I knew I wanted Dr Steely to do my procedure and I was willing to take the chance with him. Well, well, well.......... I am 11 days post op and I am absolutely LOVING my new physique. I had a mommy make over and I must say that I never thought my body would ever look this way again. First, let me start by saying that I have never left a review for anything or anyone. I decided to write a review about Dr. Steely because my results are that unbelievable!! When I first decided to have surgery, I went to several consultations with the other top doctors in Houston. I wanted to make sure I was making the right decision. After meeting with Dr. Steely and his staff, my choice was easily made. Dr. Steely made me feel very comfortable, took his time during the free consultation, and truly listened to my concerns. I decided he was the doctor I wanted for my surgery. I went in on December 21, 2010 for a mommy makeover (tummy tuck, breast lift, breast augmentation, and liposuction). Dr. Steely took his time during the surgery to make sure everything was perfect. I called him over the Christmas break for questions I had and he was always readily available and encouraged me to call him if I had more questions, regardless of the holidays. I am 2 ? weeks post-op and I can?t believe what I see when I look in the mirror. Dr. Steely went above and beyond my expectations!! My tummy is very flat and my breasts are perky again :). The tummy tuck and breast lift scars look great and will be almost invisible in the months to come. Oh, and my breast augmentation is perfect!! My breasts were not looking so great after breast feeding my son for 7 months. I have always wanted to get a breast augmentation, even before pregnancy, so I finally got up the courage to go in for an appointment. Dr. Steely and the girls are all so nice and approachable, not to mention they made a fairly awkward appointment exciting. Dr. Steely performed a breast lift and augmentation 6 weeks ago and they look better than I could ever imagine!!! I was worried about all of the cutting that is involved in a lift, but he did such an amazing job that the scaring is not bad at all and it?s only been 6 weeks!!! I can tell the scars will be nearly invincible within a few months from now. I got 275 cc low profile silicone implants so it made my breasts fuller and fatter with awesome cleavage. I have been wanting to have breast augmentation for many years. I have researched every plastic surgeon between Port Arthur and Houston looking for someone that I felt had a personal interest and not just looking to add another patient to his list. I am almost 30, with two young children, and was interested in having a little repair work in the form of breast augmentation as a little gift for my self (and my husband :)). I chose Dr. Steely based on his credentials and his awesome reviews. I prefer a natural look and the before and after photos on his website were beautiful. I had two consults scheduled, one with Dr. Steely and one with another well reviewed doctor in the museum district. The consult with Dr. Steely went so well and I felt so comfortable, that I went home and cancelled my other consult. I am currently four days post-op and could not be happier with the entire experience. My results are better than expected, and my recovery is going very well. Dr. Steely even called me the afternoon after my surgery to check on me. My operation was in the office, which I highly recommend. It was very relaxing and actually fun! There are cheaper surgeons out there, but for the results, he is well worth the price. Basically, I did a lot of research and Dr. Steely exceeded my expectations. I met with Dr Steely today for my consult and I have to say that I am impressed. I was there for 3 hours! They answered EVERY question and were very good about everything. I brought a LONG list of questions and one by one we went over them. I had a good notion of what I wanted in my head and had pictures to show just what I wanted. He saw the pics and said that would be a great look. I will need 600 cc for me to get to a D and a lot of docs are a little put off by putting that much in the first time. Anything less than 600 and I would only be a C. And a C is just not worth it to me. Its just a fact. He saw the size, saw how well it fit my frame and said... We can do that! The other person who said he was hurried or short... maybe he was having a bad day, or maybe he just wasnt right for you but for me... I am sure I will pick him for my boob job. more

Dr. Steely did my breast augmentation yesterday and I'm feeling and looking great! He's very professional and his staff was awesome! I arrived at his office 30 minutes before my procedure. They brought me back, hooked me up to an IV, and the surgery was underway. When I woke up, he and his staff were at my side in the recovery room. He even called me the evening of my procedure to answer any questions I had. I couldn't be happier with my decision and the price was better than I expected.
