I had an emergency last year where my kitten ran under my recliner when my wife rocked down. She had a head injury so we rushed her to Dr. harts. They told us their was nothing they could do but put her down. After a while of crying with my wife in the waiting room we signed the papers allowing them to do so. Then my wife wanted to be with her while they put her to sleep. The girl ran to the back and then came back a few seconds later and said that she could be saved but it would cost $800 just for her to stay the night. So why did they lie to us and let us think that we had to kill our own cat? They said that they knew we wouldn't have enough money to pay so we could sign her over to them and they would save her and find her a new home.....but we can't adopt her. So If you want lied to. Or to have to choose to let your animal live and never see it again or let it die then this is your place. I would not recommend Dr Harts a.k.a. Dr Death to anybody.\r She is also included in this article:\r Ohio Vet Board Has No Authority To Suspend Vets Suspected Of Mistreating Animals In Care\r \r \r The Ohio Veterinary Board may not have as much power as it seems to have to discipline veterinarians that have mistreated animals while in their care.\r \r Colleen Keszer brought in Duke, her chocolate Labrador, to veterinarian Lisa Hart. Keszer said that Hart “came outside and she grabbed him by his collar and he looked so scared.”\r \r Keszer complained to the Ohio Veterinary Board last October, when she first brought her dog in. She said that Hart didn’t find anything wrong with Duke and released him to go home.\r \r But Keszer said that four days later, Duke had to go back to the vet because he was extremely sick. He died within a week and Keszer blamed Hart for her dog’s death and filed a complaint.\r \r Last November, when a news team was investigating Hart, they found out the Ohio vet was already on probation when another dog was burned by a heating pad.\r \r \r \r Hart had been fined $1,000 by the state board, but she was still allowed to treat and see animals.\r \r Denise Dziak’s dog, Maggie, was another patient of Hart. Dziak said that Maggie had been vomiting, and was not eating or drinking. Her dog did not get better after seeing Hart.\r \r Dziak then took Maggie to see another vet who diagnosed her with a serious kidney disorder. She filed a complaint against Hart for her treatment of Maggie.\r \r Four months has passed since both complaints were filed, and there has been nothing done by the Ohio Veterinary Board, and Hart is still able to practice. The agency’s investigation is still ongoing.\r \r Theresa Stir with the Ohio Veterinary Board said, “We don’t have the ability to automatically suspend someone based on if someone is abusing an animal. We can’t automatically suspend them. We can’t stop their practice. We can only fine them up to a $1,000 fine.”\r \r By law, veterinarians are alerted before investigators can go inside their office for routine compliance inspections.\r \r A representative for the Ohio Veterinary Medical Association said, “We believe there are appropriate safeguards in place that the public receives the appropriate levels of veterinary medicine.”\r \r Source: MSNBC\r more

Irena is doing great and making friends! Thanks to Dr. Hart, the miracle worker! (She was hit by a car, breaking her jaw and literally popping her eye out. I brought her to Dr. Hart just to put her out of her misery and Dr. Hart saved her!) more

I was more than pleased with my experience at Dr. Hart's Emergency Pet Clinic. I found my neighbor's cat bleeding on my front porch, suffering what appeared to be multiple bite wounds. I was able to take her in to the office right away - on a Sunday afternoon. (after getting permission for the cat's owner to keep her because he didn't know what do do and didn't really want her anymore - I could say a lot about that, but I won't) more

I went to Dr. Hart's and was treated with the utmost respect. Every single employee had a smile on their face, was extremely helpful and I would go there again in a heartbeat. The prices are extremely reasonable for an emergency pet clinic open 24 hours and the workers there are very knowledgeable. I recommend it to anyone who is in need of an emergency pet clinic. more

I went to Dr.Hart's Animal Clinic and it was Sunday Morning June 20th at 1:00am. I had both of my 4 month old mountain curs that was very lathargic and sick. They examined them and found out that they both had fevers and some form of Parvo after doing tests and that they would have to stay there for treatments.I was scared of loosing them after hearing the news but Dr.Hart and her Staff reassured me and my family that they would take care of them and with hope they would come out of it. I let her know of my financial crisis and she still told me that they would work with me on a payment plan and that they are not going to give them any less treatment because of this. I left there and for the next few days I called every 2 hours checking up on there progress and I appologized to the staff for being such a pain but they never was disrespectfull or mean. They understood that these dogs are our family members and we was worried. Telling me they didnt mind that we could call any time that we felt. By the time Monday night June 21st came Toby really wasnt pulling out of it and i told them if they was suffering that I want the right thing done even though my heart was breaking inside because I knew i couldnt stand loosing another dog (We had to put my 20 yr old dog down just 3 weeks earlier). And that Marley is getting worse now also. Dr.Hart was up front with me about everything and very hopefull still. She and her staff still was not willing to give up that easy and told me to give it more time. By this time I have had many sleepless nights worrying and crying. Not knowing their outcome all together. On Thursday morning, I got a phone call at 9:30am and was told that Toby was pulling up out of it and starting to come around, while Marley is having diarreah and throwing up worms. Now I am concerned and wondering if he will pull through also. Still Dr.Hart and Staff was not giving up. Then Thursday night (early Friday morning) I called and it was good news Toby is better and Marley is coming around a little but still very lathargic. I was so happy knowing that it was coming out of them and it was coming close for them to come home. So, after calling all this time I make my Friday morning 9:00am call and they tell me finally I can pick Toby up that night but Marley still needed a few more nights to make sure he is clear of this. I get up there right away and they bring Toby out from back and he is jumping on me and licking all over my face. It was a happy reunion but I still have concerns about Marley. So I ask them again about him and they said he is holding on and getting better but it is going to be slow. I call all the time and then on Sunday June 28th they tell me that he is doing great and he comes home tomorrow. They both will be on meds for a week but if it wasn't for the work and kind hearts of Dr.Hart and her Staff, I know it would of been a diffrent outcome. So I would like to Thank Dr.Hart and Her Staff from the bottom of our heart a sincere and deepest Thank-You. If it wasn't for you I wouldn't of had to be able to keep our family member safe. And One day I would like to meet you all personally to say Thank-You!!!! more

greeted with a smile 6/28/2012

My 8 year old Lab's stomach got so swollen he couldn't even move. I rushed him over to the referral vet on Richmond and they said it would be a 2 hour wait. They didn't even care that my dog was dying. I saw Dr. Hart's across the street and rushed over there. They said it looked like a bloat and took him to the back immediately. They said they had to do surgery and gave me an estimate of the cost. The next morning I picked him up, paid my bill and went home with my baby!!! I was curious to compare prices so I called the referral vet and asked how much money they'd charge to correct a bloat.. they estimated me DOUBLE from what Dr. Hart charged. Definitely recommend Dr. Hart's. more

great staff 5/16/2012

It was so nice to arrive and see many fully qualified staff members. I've gone to some places that were very understaffed and I've never had a good experience. This place had a great staff though, and I'll definitely be going back. They didn't pressure me to buy anything I didn't need, which I really appreciated. I've been to other places that pressured me to buy stuff and it always made me very uneasy. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is good. Although this is an ""emergency"" vet, they do not rush through the care or belittle any of your concerns. It is a great after-hours service. more
