Dr. Elliot Heller MD

From the moment I met with Dr. Elliot Heller, I knew he was going to be my plastic surgeon. He is kind, charming, laid back and actually listens to what you want. He is the type of doctor who will tell you if he feels that you don't need a procedure. I originally wanted breast implants and went to several (highly accredited and very pricey) plastic surgeons. I felt as though they were all just trying to close a deal and could care less about my expectations and health concerns. I began asking around and several of my friends suggested I go see Dr. Heller. They couldn't have offered better advice. I discussed my concerns with Dr. Heller (I go to a chiropractor several times per week due to a neck injury) and he explained everything, which put me at ease. After booking my surgery, I had a sudden change of heart and realized that I simply wanted to look better in a bikini and that Smartlipo would be my best option. The fact that I wouldn't be under general anesthesia was also a plus. When I called Dr. Heller to request the last-minute change of plan, he didn't try to persuade me to stick with the original surgery (it would have been much more profitable for him to do so, as my Smartlipo was significantly cheaper). I went ahead with the Smartlipo 2 weeks ago. The procedure couldn't have been more comfortable. I was extremely nervous since I wasn't sure what to expect. However, I felt at ease as soon as I got into the operating room. I laid down, was numbed and couldn't feel a thing. I was talking to Dr. Heller and his pleasant nurses the entire time. An hour and a half later, the procedure was done and I felt great. I rested lightly for the next two days and was up ad about in no time. My swelling is almost completely gone and I am very happy with the results. I highly recommend Dr. Elliot for any plastic surgical procedure as I've seen different procedures of his performed on my friends, which all turned out perfect. His midtown office (37th St b/w 1st and 2nd Aves) is very nice, as are the staff. I've came there numerous times and had to reschedule twice. They were never rude and took their time answering any questions I had. The Staten Island office where I had the actual procedure done (since I live in Brooklyn) is as equally clean, beautiful and full of helpful, friendly staff. Lastly, on top of Dr. Heller's impeccable skills and bedside manner, his prices are very reasonable and probably the lowest I came across. However, the price wasn't the determining factor in my choice of surgeons, it was his knowledge, kindness and amazing work that sealed the deal for me. -T. D. more

I'm a woman in my late 50's and I was considering breast enhancement with lipo. A very scary procedure, so I consulted several surgeons. When doing so I was not too sure of it. All because I found fault with every Dr I went to see. Either they really did not show any concern, or just looked at me like a potential patient. with a dollar sign, I found that I was also looking at the Drs staff,, if they were too busy, not happy, I reconsidered, so I was left with high expectations and had almost given up. Then I happened to find my surgeon in Staten Island! Which is why I think he is Hollywood! As I walked in to his waiting room I was greeted with a warm welcome from his wonderful staff, then I met Dr, Heller., his genuine concern & experience shined through , as he told me exactly what to expect during and after surgery., and he saw me as a person. , not just a patient. A refreshing change for sure, I then booked my surgery, which came out better than expected! He was not my first, but he sure was my last and only cosmetic surgeon for life! I feel great and I look great! I thank you Dr Heller for your expertise in your work! Perfection is a plus, I was looking for improvement but got a bonus! Dr. Heller is honest, gentle, patient, thorough, careful and extremely meticulous. He is a perfectionist. I know this because of my own experience with him. I was referred to him by my cousin who bragged about him relentlessly to me over the last couple of years. \r My Story: I am in my mid fifties, and have had an extremley stressful life. I was divorced while three months pregnant and malnutritioned with my third child. (all children with same stupid husband) Things were never easy for me, ever. After I had ""survived"" that and much, much more trauma in my life which I will not go into, I picked myself up and kept going. Now 30 years later, I ran into a friend who turned 60 and she told me that her husband gave her the money for a face lift for her 60th birthday, I was extremely jealous. I called my cousin who had bragged about this ""Dr. Heller, ""Magic Hands"" as she called him. And yes, she actually compared him to ""Leonardo da Vinci"" too. She was so, so, right, he should be compared to the great artist, I decided to make an appointment to have a mini facelift. OMG, before, during and after he finished my procedure, he was ""the(e)"" most caring concerned doctor I have ever gone to in my LIFE!! He realized exactly what my state of mind would be after the surgery and handled my psychological state to the 10's offering such confidence with grace and finesse, that I was not the least bit concerned about what the outcome would be after the healing process. For me, the key prescription to the healing process was that HE KNEW ME, he really knew me, and HE WAS CONFIDENT THAT HE HAD DONE AN EXCELLENT PROCEDURE! And he did. He has an extreme degree of concern for his patients and was completely confident that the outcome would be exactly what I had expected. AND IT WAS!!! I now look 10 years maybe 20 years younger than my true age. \r I must tell you, I honestly did not have this procedure for the sole purpose of looking younger. I wanted it because I wanted to look in the mirror and see the person I actually ""felt like"". Because I didn't feel as old as I looked when I looked in the mirror. I did not know that person in the mirror. It was confusing and depressing to me to look much older than I felt. Dr. Heller, AKA"" Dr. Magic Hands"", has without a doubt renewed my life by removing all the ""old"" look that I was carrying as baggage. That person I did not recognize, is now gone!! And the best part about it is that everyone merely commented that I look less stressed and well rested, not to mention, when I look in the mirror, I actually feel the age that I look !!!! He is amazing!!!!??\r - May 1, 2010\r I just received Breast Aug last tuesday. Ten years ago I had implants done that ended up looking horrible! So the second time around I wanted to do so much research before seeing any surgeon! Dr.Vitolo is the nastiest man ever...Dr.Greenberg looks at you like you are a $ sign only and I could go on and on about the Surgeons they say are the Best. Based on the reviews I read I decided to meet with Dr.Heller. I don't go buy pricing with doctors I go by my instinct. He is so HONEST,calm and sweet! I loved him and booked my surgery to re do my implants right away. The surgery went unbelievable.His staff is excellent! My new implants look spectacular!!! And he worked very hard on fixing the mess I had! He sculpted them beautifully!! I would HIGHLY recommend him! You will not be sorry you did! After three c-sections and some loose skin, I needed some work done. I went from consultation to consultation and finally after serious research and nine doctors throughout NYC, I found Dr. Heller. The consulation itself was therapeutical. He was not pushy, he was very honest with me and told me what would be the outcome and so I had the Tummy Tuck done on June 13, 2007. The nurses are very professional and friendly and wonderful. In particular Shannon. I went from a size 6/8 to a 0/1. The outcome was amazing and I am very happy. I got mesotheraphy from him and I am more than happy. I was a little worried about the procedure but he was very honest about what I will go through. He gave me options and honored my choice , even if it was small. Pros: reasonable rates , honest , parking Cons: he takes his time for every patient , so there is some wait. That's good cause you know that you're not being rushed. more
