This is a good studio where competing and losing weight to be perfect are not stressed at all. This studio gives a warm, friendly, and professional atmosphere for any child who wants to learn technique, poise, grace, confidence, performance ability, and a positive attitude. I would recommend this studio 100% to anyone in the are who looking for a quality dance studio. Aside from learning how to dance, the teachers have a high expectations of their students and always go the extra mile to teach. Students learn about themselves, and make numbers of friends. I have been dancing with Donna Scott now for 17 years and would never go anywhere else. I have made lifelong friends through dance and have to utmost respect for both Donna and Lynn who are now colleagues and mentors, not just teachers. The teachers are very precise and thorough. They truly care about your child's dance experience. They have 2 locations; one on Walden in Depew, and one on Lovejoy in Buffalo. They expect every child to do well, and every child does. While my daughter may not grow up to be a professional dancer, she is gaining poise and stage experience that she will have for her entire life. If you want your child to learn proper technique and be able to take their ability further, then this is not the place you want your son/daughter to go. I sent my daughter here for a couple years, we thought it was a ""good"" place, but we quickly learned. Their style is very outdated and oldschool, now we take her to the Future Dance Center in Hamburg and they teach everything to a T. We compete as well but we go to Orlando and sweep away studios from around the US. Summerdance is completly old and is probably one of the worst competitions around our area. Anyway if you want the best for your child, go to a newer studio, where the choreography is updated and where you learn from people who really have made it in the business... My daughter has been dancing at Donna Scott since she was five and is now in college and still dancing there. It is a safe and wonderful place for a girl (or boy) to grow up! She has learned discipline, made tons of friends, and of course learned to dance really, really well! The artistry they bring to their numbers is unbelievable. They don't stress competitions, so that makes it more affordable and fair for girls of all skill levels. The teachers stress artistic expression, proper technique, advanced choreography, and fun. Because it is not a competitive situation the girls are very supportive of each other and helpful. You know they are learning and growing under the guidance of Miss Lynn and Miss Donna. more

I switched my daughter to Donna Scott after going to two others in the area. She learned more in one year than she did in the few years at the other schools. The other schools focused on the competition classes and left the other classes to the wayside. If I am going to spend my money I want her to learn dancing in the proper form and if her class is chosen to for competitions the better. Which they have and she has won many competitions already. Pros: excellent structure with the student, will learn the basics and much more Cons: I can't get her to stop dancing (if thats a con) more

I have been sending my children to Donna for a long time. She is very strict, but look at us in competition! We don't have teams, and we win well more than 1/3 of the champion medals! I love that we don't have teams, because then everyone has a fair chance. Everybody competes! It's wonderful!! Lynn, Donna, and their helpers are the most friendly people, and always have a great recital. Our students dance all over the stage and perform difficult and fun numbers. more
