Took care of my problem 12/30/2009

I needed a second set of keys to my 2007 Toyota Matrix. Mark Hamman, Asst Service Manager helped me out. Mark gave me a price for the service and said it would be ready after lunch. He got on the job right away. Mr. Hamman called my office and had it done in one hour. He sent a van to pick me up. Jessie the driver was friendly too. I observed that Don McGill Toyota is very client friendly place. There was a fully stocked coffee bar, wifi and computer assess for those patrons who wanted to wait for their cars. Ask for Mark Hamman, he's the best. Pros: Service with a smile more

Predatory Repairs Pricing for Flood Victims and Rude Service Writer 5/9/2009

Our Camry had water on the carpet due to a flooded parking lot. The water never got higher than the bottom of the door and the car was not driven through high water. Wet carpets - period. Johnny quoted $950 to wash and dry the carpet and put it back in. But then he called with an estimate that included $4000.00 in extra stuff they wanted to repair including the starter motor, the onboard computer, etc. etc. I told them we were paying for the repair, not insurance - so he cut out some things but still wanted $3000.00. I called Sterling McCall with the same list of items to repair and their estimate was $2,000.00 less. So I paid the greedy, predatory Don McGill $450.00 to get our car back and drove it to Sterling McCall. Also - Johnny the service writer was extremely rude and complained about having to read me the itemized estimate - he just wanted me to sign off on the work without knowing what was included. Never, never, never let Don McGill repair your car! more

Typical dealership treatment 7/21/2008

Well, I took my car here orginially for an alignment, cause NOBODY else could get it right. They did an amazing job - the first time my car ever drove in a straight line. Later on, my idle got ""rough"" so I took it to them - and surprisingly, they fixed it, but then...the day I drive it out of the shop there, it has a ""noise"". I just assume the noise will work itself out - it doesn't - it gets worse. So about 3 weeks later, I bring it back (here is big mistake #1) to them to fix whatever they broke last time. They can't hear any noise (they must be deaf) AND they just decide to ""try"" stuff to see if maybe that's the problem, and of course, I'm footing the bill because they could never admit fault. So fine, fix something-I come back to pick up my car....ummmm...where are my hubcaps? They run around - can't find them - the guy was like ""come back tomorrow and we'll see what we can do"". He honestly didn't believe that I had hubcaps when I brought it up there. Like I was trying to scam the dealership for some new ones or something. Give me a break. I told them I'm not taking my car back without my hubcaps back, or new ones replacing them. The guy seemed completely helpless. He told me he couldn't even write a note on my invoice saying SOMETHING would be done - anything - without a manager's approval, and they were all gone. Fine, I leave my car overnight, cause I'm NOT driving away without hubcaps and no note in my file. Come back next day, they found the hubcaps and put them back on...then driving away - what do I hear? The same noise I brought it there for that the mechanics couldn't hear. My husband said I should've gone back right then - but they're not getting another dime from me. My service rep (Larry Tuttle) got a call from me - I was fuming, but they'll never see me again. That's the last time I do anything at a dealership. Pros: alignment Cons: everything else more

Good car dealer 8/31/2005

I bought my last Toyota Corolla at Don McGill last year and I can say I'm still pretty satisfied. I first entered into that car dealer just for taking some information about their cars. Well one salesman gently answered all my question and offered me a test drive. Well, after driving this little baby, I could not make my choice to stop on another car. The salesman was very courteous and explained me everything about that car. I always go back there for all my oil change and service needs. I recommend you have a visit there if you are planning buying a car. PROS: Very good employes, clean. CONS: nothing more
