Feels alot like cheers walking in. Nice decor, good people and there is now no smoking inside. I don't know what beef the other guys have with this bar but it is a great bar with good people and good fun. They have Texas Hold'em, trivia, live music, good food, everything that you would want in a bar. Dave is a great guy!!!!!! You should try it out....... more

I have lived in Statesville all my life and D'Laney's is a dung hole for shady people to get their drink on. The live music is boring and drab and so does the service. There is soooooo much smoke in the bar that you can barely breath and there is always more people that get on your nerves than I can count. Don't go there ever if you are looking for a place to hang out. There are better places just around the corner with a more polite attentive staff and better atmosphere! Try Mayo's Ristorante Lounge or The 2nd Fret. These places are much better and not to mention The 2nd Fret is non-smoking!! Avoid D'Laney's at all costs!! Cons: Everything about this place!! more

Horrible bar - dont go!!!! 1/22/2009

This is one of the worst bars in Statesville. There's so much smoke you'd be lucky to get out without lung cancer. The live music is horrible, and the service is bad. The owner is a big fat dufus, named Dave D'laney. Good luck if you can get by his peckwood mentality and bad attempts at humor. It is impossible to have a good time while he's there staring at everyone like a hawk. Cons: cancer more
