Best

I joined Discovery Point about 3 months ago and have fell in love with the facility and staff already!! I have a 3 year old and he loves it as well. He comes home singing and laug...

Worst

I observed teachers yelling at children often and other behavior that you would not want for a child. I do not recommend using this daycare.

My boys have loved Roswell Discovery Point! One of my boys is enrolled in the preK program and has learned so much! My other son participlates in the after school program. The best part are the people. We love Miss Yvette, Miss Bridgette and Miss Veronica. Everyone is always so friendly and knows my boys so well. It is an exceptionally clean center as well and smell good! We also are so grateful to miss Abby for teaching our 5 year old so much this year! more

I have been happy with Discovery Point Roswell. My son has attended for 3 years now and has loved all of his teachers. He especially loves Ms. Abbi who teaches GA Pre-K. Ms. Abbi always has great activities happening in the classroom to supplement what she is teaching them. She is doing a great job of getting them ready for heading to ""Big Boy"" school next year! more

I have been very pleased with Discovery Point Roswell. I have 2 boys attending this location (age 2 and 4), and they have both done really well there. The teachers and staff are very loving and compassionate towards the children. I have observed them teaching and modeling good behaviors for the little ones. My boys are always coming home singing new songs and nursery rhymes, and they bring home high quality artwork. My 2 year old boy knows most of the alphabet and counts to 6, and I have to give all the credit to the wonderful teachers at Discovery Point! more

This Place Is Awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 11/8/2011

I love this place, I have three children that attend Discovery Point #52 in Roswell Ga. My husband and I can't beleave how much our children have learned since they have been at this center. The teachers are just simply great and the management team there is awsome. I just can't say enough about this center. The price is right and the teachers are awsome. more

Very Concerned 9/13/2011

I am writing this review to let other parents know of my experiences here. I would not recommend this daycare and believe that some teachers do scream at the children often. My child was okay in one class, but when moved to another, things started to go wrong. My child began screaming not to go, having accidents, and other concerning incidents. While not every class may be like this, some teachers do yell and expect behavior that is not developmentally possible for the age. It is a very overcrowded school. more

Couldn't be happier! 6/15/2011

My wife and I enrolled our son at Discovery Point in Roswell about 6 months ago and we could not be happier. The staff is friendly and always welcoming. The management is also incredibly friendly and knowledgable. We can not say enough great things about this place! more

Clean But TERRIBLE! 6/5/2011

Teacher turn over is awful! Good teachers leave, Toddlers and preschoolers are expected to sit in a line often. Seems very crowded and teachers appear nice to parents, but don't be fooled - Your child will be yelled at all day long! Snacks are pitiful, and if your child is hungry too bad - no seconds of some kind of carb/cracker/cookie type snack & little water cup. Clean Place, but want my child to enjoy going to school, not hate it. more

Wonderful preschool! 3/15/2011

What a wonderful place! My son has been enrolled at Discovery Point since he was one and is now 4. I would not have him anywhere else. We have both loved all of his teachers in each class. We also both love the front office staff. They are friendly and easy to talk to and greet us every morning with a big smile! more

Fast Food Daycare 7/9/2010

My son from August of 09 to June 2010 at this location. he had 3 teachers before October. I questioned the teacher to child ratio and was told ""they were working on it"". I apparently wasn't the only one becasue they were cited for this from the state. (Google Bright from the start.) After many months of different teachers, they finally put 3 teachers in one room for 21 kids. When I did see all 3 in the room, one was doing the teaching while the others changed diapers or sat. I complained to the owner and director and was told they were staffed within the state guidlines. I dropped my son off on several occasions and the lead teacher was LATE! This made me late for work several times becasue I didn't want to dump him off. The director and staff just let 2 year olds run around until the teacher rolled in. They seem to have a one size fits all attitude. Most of the time my son's sheets about his day,nap etc. were copied, and just the date changed so I can't imagine that they really paid attention to him. Kids seemed to run wild while the staff sat including the owner and director. Cons: over crowdied, slack staff more

POOR SERVICE 6/19/2010

My son has been attending Discovery Point for a while now and two weeks ago I went to drop him and the teacher had 9 1 year olds in her room..the next day she had 11 when i dropped him off and they had the camp kids outside in the rain The next week my son who i was advised by state law HAD to be in the beginners room was in the infant room...a couple of days i went to pick him up and he was with stranger (teachers i didnt know nor did my son EVER have any interaction with. Like most 1 year olds my son doesnt like strangers. I drive him all the way to Roswell simply because he enjoys his teachers and he is accustomed to the germs.I called and advised that this was unacceptable to do to babies and toddlers and that I would take the next week to look for centers. Today i get a letter from Melissa the Director stating i owe 2 weeks....I never told the Assistant Director that he was never coming back but that if this continued he would be moved. No were in the letter did i see an apology .....BAD SERVICE !!! If it wasnt for his teachers he would be GONE TODAY !!!!!!! I read what I sign and I am aware i need to give written notice she could have kept her letter ! more

HORRIBLE TEACHERS and OWNER BEWARE 3/24/2010

Last week I took my son to a child behavioral psychologist, due to recent bad reports form Dscovery Point in Roswell. He went from having temper tantrums that involved hitting.and then I was told by Discovery Point teachers that he was doing much better and ""there were worse kids in the room"" I was told by Ms. Jessica all about other students such as a girl who cries all day, another boy that hits and a child that she thinks should be in a helmet! Ms. Jessica at this location, who is also the main teacher of the young 2's told me last week that ""I had to hold my reflexes back because your son hit me in the face"". Translation ""I wanted to hit a 2 year old"" Shame on this facility for hiring someone that would even say such a things. My child was observed last Friday in a smaller environment by the psychologist and I would love to publish the results. Translation_ Too many kids in one room, negative attention or no attention ( they ignored him after he POd the main teacher)equals the behaviors and my son is a normal 2 year old that needs a smaller class.Discovery Point lied to me and said the owner Yvette Rijos witnessed my son bite 2 teachers twice. When I apologized to Ms. Tiffany she said he did not bite her. This was left in a nice message by Iyana James, one of the directors . She nicely said they were suspending my 2 yr old for this. First they need to get their facts straight, fill out the sheets correctly, not be unprofessional and talk about other kids in the room to me and most importantly DON'T TELL A PARENT THAT YOU HAD TO HOLD YOU REFLEXES BACK!! Also these are at least the 3rd set of teachers in this room since September. 21 kids and 2 teachers! I am a teacher and I can't imagine telling a parent that I had to hold myself back. Cons: abusive language. lies , over ratio! more
