Direct Appliance

If you're looking for a store where the employees know just about everything about appliances, this is it!. They are friendly, helpful and most importantly...know about what they are selling. A friend of mine had a challenging remodel to tackle and didn't really know where to begin; she said they helped her all the way through the purchase, even sending someone to her home to check everything out. My parents bought their fridge here and pretty much everyone I know. more

Pretty much my whole street and most people I know have bought their appliances at Direct, and for good reason. Everyone there seems to know a whole lot about what they sell, and they really seem to like what they do. I've found that if you go into the store (which doesn't look like much outside, but is beautiful inside) they go out of their way to find you the best deal. Deliveries are on time and personal, and although I've not had to have a service call, I've heard their technicians are really good. I like that they are locally owned and do a lot in the community, too. more

Gotta say, I am rarely so angry that I'll post a negative commentary on a retailer, but Direct Appliance in Modesto, CA did the trick today. I purchased about $900 worth of appliances for a property that I plan to put on the market in the next couple of weeks. I didn't have my cargo trailer with me yesterday, so I went back today to pick the items up. The items were all unboxed floor models and I asked the staff to use the tie downs to keep the appliances from moving around. You'd think I asked them to burn down the store. First they refused, then after about 20 minutes of grief they wanted me to sign a hold harmless statement for them and the attitude of staff was really unbelieveable. They do understand the concept of business insurance -- right? They do understand the concept of customer service -- right? Not a chance. We bought our washer and dryer set here and our mother just purchased an Amana refrigerator here. They are helpful and we were happy with the service we received. Fair prices. more

I have bought several appliances over the years and these are very friendly people with reliable service. The repairmen (when necessary) come prepared to fix the problem and finish their work quickly and leave the area clean when finished. The rates are fair and they stand behind their commitments.
