The best barbecue joint ever! 3/20/2006

The best barbecue food ever! The atmosphere is dark and crowded, but everyone is very friendly and it actually adds to the charm. The line is always long, but it's easy to spend the time talking and drinking at the bar. The service adds to the charm...it's very down home. There is an area outside you can eat in the summer at picnic tables as well. I have never had anything here that wasn't good....their barbexue stuff is the focus, but they have amazing salad dressing and macaroni salad! Anythign you eat here will be some of the best you have eaten! more

Dinosaur BBQ is the best place if you want to have BBQ. It is the best in Syracuse, New York. It is so delicious and you would not believe it! Their food is absolutely amazing and totally be recommended to come eat here with family and friends. It is one of the best in town. The prices are reasonable and you get the best food for what you pay. The place is just amazing!!! more

Best local BBQ 8/20/2005

You go to the DInosaur Bar-B-Q not only for the stick to your ribs fabulous food, but also for the unique atmosphere. Founded by bikers, when you first drive up to the Dinosaur, you will see rows of bikes parked out front. Yet you walk inside and see the mix of hardcore bikers and business people in their three piece suits. The place is laid back and informal, a perfect place to grab some food and beers with your friends. Take home the BBQ sauce and get your hands on the Dinosaur cookbook if you can. more

Dinosaur BBQ is a great restauraunt, if i could give it 6 stars I would. The bbq sauce flavor is top notch, it can be found in most grocery stores in the north east at this point. A few tips for a pleasant experience.... IF you are in a hurry, order take out, there is ALWAYS a line, not because the service is slow, its becuase the food is great and there is always someone in line waiting for a table. Order as many appetizers as possible (or just go back often) I haven't found one I didn't like. One time they had smoked scallops, it was incredible. There is no way a review could ever do Dinosaur BBQ justice, so please go try them for yourself more

Great food and very casual atmosphere 7/14/2005

My husband and I had heard a lot about this place. Very good food with lots of to choose from on the menu. Very interesting atmosphere, with everyone from bikers to guys in suits and ties. We went on a Tuesday night and it was PACKED. While the food was great, it was a little too crowded, and there were people actually leaning on us and our table as we were trying to eat-because we were sat right next to the bar. Great Syracuse tradition, but they really do need to do something about giving people a place to stand away from diners when they are waiting to be sat or hanging out at the bar. This place is not for the claustrobic! more
