our refrigerator temp gauge stopped taking input and the manufacturer gave us 4 names to call and 3 had 100% bad reviews and Dial had about 50-50 good-bad so i called but frankly i assumed that the good reviews were written by people who worked for the company but were smart enough to counter bad reviews when they came in.
I DO NOT work for the company, and i was REALLY HAPPY with the service yesterday. They accomodated my request to try to come after work (i work parttime so was looking for afternoon), the guy called when he was 15 min out and actually came in 15 min, was courteous and friendly and when he was checking out the whole fridge/freezer (my question was with all the little and big things wrong, was it going to cost a lot to fix or should we just get a new one since this is the second time it broke in 4 years) he tolerated me being there but he didnt give me a tour of what he was doing. He has definitle opinions about new appliances (they are no good), he made a simple fix to the main problem (disconnected the internal computer and reconnected it so it would reboot) and fortunately it worked. HE ONLY CHARGED the visit fee, plus he told us a bunch of stuff like why the ice cubes have some that have air, he told us the cheapest place to get the filters is on the internet, and he seemed SMART and i feel like i got a christmas present last nite that 1)i dont have to buy a new fridge at this point and 2)i had a really nice, respectful, human interaction with a repairman and i didnt feel like he was trying to rip me off or trick me--THANK YOU SERGEY!
