I really can't say anything but good things about this company. Out of the gate, they clearly had a different approach to nyc apartment rentals. They were very upfront and provided a wealth of information in advance and asked lots of questions to determine if what they had would work. I felt as though they listened to what I wanted and tried to find a match rather than looking only at what they could offer and then trying to sell me something I wasn't interested in. more

Rude and Shady 8/11/2011

High pressure, very rude, unreasonable. It was a very unpleasant experience. They are very quick to take your money before even filing any paperwork, and will insult you if you hesitate to commit right away. I don't trust anyone who refuses to let me show a lease to my lawyer before signing it.\r \r I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. more

WORST REALTY SERVICE 9/20/2010

I wish I could give this place no stars. I called to find out about two units. The gentleman who picked up the phone seemed as though he had just woken up (it was noon) and he seemed bothered that I wanted to see apartments. And, then the guy yelled at me when I told him I had the ID # for the apartments I wanted to see he could look them up. He said, ""THAT'S NOT WHAT I ASKED YOU!"" \r \r The apartments always look to good to be true on their website. And, their treatment of their clients is terrible. Please get out of business, change management, or start treating people like you actually want to do business with them.\r \r Terrible agency. more

ALL THESE REVIEWS ARE FAKE 7/14/2010

Check out the names of the reviewers and you'll see a pattern (a name followed by 4 numbers), they're posted on a consistent schedule, and they're consistent in the writing style. They all sound too good to be true for a reason - they were all written by the same person, obviously not in the business of creative writing, but in the business of deceit. Look carefully at your lease, especially the part about leasing fees. Pros: Nice furniture in the office more

I originally spoke with Tony on the phone and he was incredibly polite and helpful. He set me up with Lawrence who is a bit of a fast talker but was very clear, honest and efficient. Each apartment shown was done so without pressure and was what we were looking for. Finding a place came easy after we sat down and figured out what would work and what wouldn't. I moved in just about 2 weeks ago and haven't had any problems yet. I would recommend this service to anyone. Pros: late hours, availability Cons: N/A more

I was pretty on and off when it came to seriously looking for a place until a few weeks ago but they were there to answer any questions via email or phone. They were incredibly patient and aided me in searching for exactly what i wanted. Everyone at the office seemed to know their job well while having their own approach at the game (I worked with 3 different people there). The one thing I really like was that they made it clear that they weren't there to waste my time and provided me with all the information necessary. We NEEDED to find an apt in 3 days. With these guys we found it in one day. They were originally recommended to me from my previous landlord after a deal fell through with another place at the last minute. I'm really glad they lived up to my expectations. They did an awesome job and made a stressful process easy. In fact, I found an apartment the same day. Excellent service. Worth the fee. Saved me tons of time and aggravation. Don't know the reliability of what others have said but all their fees are straight up and standard. In fact, they are even more upfront than most broker's I've seen because they actually list their fee percentage on their ads instead of just saying ""broker's fee."" C'mon people, it's in plain english, READ. Pros: Awesome cause they're fans of Beatles! Cons: Hmm...not sure I found any... more

Deceitful business, be careful 6/26/2009

This operation is the most unprofessional place I’ve ever encountered. Their business is to pretend they have a property for you, charge you an application fee (around $140) and then come out saying the landlord decided to rent it to someone else. They gave me my broker’s fee and everything else they made me sign for but never returned that application fee, that other decent brokers do not even charge. Lawrence Roberts, the broker whom I dealt with, did not even had the decency to be around and apologize for the inconvenience when I came to pick up the check but left it behind with other people who worked there who were rude and defensive instead of being apologetic. Even when he first showed me the apts he had an attitude, did not carry the keys to the place and wasted my time. We didn't have a good experience with Destination, and never even got to a point where we were shown apartments. II had high hopes for Destination given all the positive reviews, but they seem to be like every other agent in NYC - they really give you the runaround and make you do all the work. more
