A fitness club that gives you what you need and nothing more 10/1/2008

The main pro to this place is the location, can't be beat if you live in or around the area. The employees are friendly and are always saying hi to you when you enter and bye when you leave. The equipment and size of the place leave something to be desired, that is why this place gets an average rating. Even though the equipment is old and seems to be in constant need of repair the variety of equipment is very nice. You can tell that someone who knows something about fitness decided on what type of machines to go into the gym. If the machines were newer and not frequently breaking down they would be fine. The size of the gym is too small (everything is in one room) and the cardio equipment is not enough for the amount of members. It is hard to find an open cardio machine around dinner time. The locker room is fairly nice except that the sauna and steam room do not work all the time like everything else in the place. If you are looking for a personal trainer I would probably look elsewhere. I thought about it but after observing the personal trainers at this fitness club I didn't feel like it would be worth it. They seem to have all their clients do the same routine and the personal trainers seem to care more about how they look and act than what their clients are actually doing. They have a way of making sure the whole gym knows that they are drinking ""smart water"". Its funny and sad at the same time. Overall, not a bad gym, not a great gym, just average. Don't expect anything else and you will be fine. Pros: location, great variety of equipment Cons: equipment is in constant repair, size of facility more

Check this gym out! 2/27/2008

Finding a gym where you feel comfortable can be difficult. Finding a trainer that works well with you and gives you the right encouragement can be trying. Finding both of these in the same place is wonderful.\r And that's what you have at Delta Fitness.\r You can do the BOOT program and have the intense training program to jumpstart yourself into a new life.\r You can work out with a trainer as many days of the week that you want and can afford. \r You can have gym buddies that you see because you go at a certain time and you know they'll be there. You may not do more than talk briefly, groan at the same times and share a knowing look that you'd rather be anywhere than on your back with your feet in the air trying to grab your ankles. \r You can work out with Mr Popular, one of the finest trainers in this town. A friendly guy who trains you and makes the person who's come in for the first time feel welcome. A smile and a joke and a great workout all at the same time. All the while helping you achieve your goals. \r Try this gym. You may find that it's the one you've been looking for. Pros: parking, trainers, convenience more

I love Delta because... 2/23/2008

The staff is very friendly, the instructors are amazing, and the coaching group is phenomenal!! If you are considering joining a gym, here?s why you should pick Delta:\r \r Atmosphere - Others may not like the ""cozy"" environment, but this is exactly what appeals to me. I love seeing the same faces and making some new friends along the way. \r \r Group Class Instructors ? If you love to dance, especially to Latin music, then Mary?s Zumba class is where you should be on Thursday mornings! If a high intensity workout is what you?re looking for, then Clara?s Turbo Kick class is perfect for you. And lastly, if you enjoy spinning, or just want to give it a try (like I finally did), then Mary?s classes are the best! \r \r BOOT ? I loved the personal attention I received from ?T? and would do it again someday. Even though I only completed the 6 week program, I still gained a lot from the experience. I feel much more educated about the food choices I make and I even learned that my body can withstand the intense workouts that I always stayed away from. If you?re just getting started, this could be the program that gets you going, or it may be how you get out of a rut (like me)! Either way? it?s still an experience you will never forget.\r \r Coaching Staff ? The best coaches around are here at Delta. ?Mr. Popular? has been my coach for a year and I could not have asked for anyone better. Another reviewer felt he didn?t pay enough attention to his clients, but this is absolutely not true. I was terrified of working out in the gym when I joined last year, but with his guidance, I am comfortable working out on my own now. I love the personal attention I receive and even though I may be working hard, we still find ways to make it fun. They take the time to learn about you and your lifestyle so they can help you make the best plan to be successful. I never thought I?d be able to lose over 50 lbs in a year, but with this kind of support it really can happen!\r more

the worst gym I have ever been to 2/18/2008

This gym is still in the stone age. It doesnt open until 10am on Sunday. It opens at 8am Saturday, but often the person responsible to open up is late or doesnt show up at all. The weights are old, the cable machines are old and dusty and sticky, they dont move easily. Its very small.\r The classes are a joke, I have tried every class and was either ingnored by the teacher or shown how to do exercises the wrong way.\r \r Ther personal trainers there often train people with the same exercises no matter age or shape and I often see the trainers looking around while the poor schlub getting ripped off is doing the exercise wrong. Every client I have seen doing walking lunges is doing it wrong. The head trainer would rather look around and be Mr Popular than focus on his client. The spin teachers are rude and the yoga teacher is OK but his class hasnt changed in the whole year Ive been a member there.\r \r I will not re-join this gym once my membership is up.\r Pros: Parking Cons: Old machines, outdated machines. Out of shape teachers, terrible staff more

Try the BOOT training program now! AMAZING!!!! 2/8/2008

I have wanted to 20-30 pounds for YEARS! I haven't even finished my 10 week program and have already reached my goal. If you want a new body this is the club for you! Pros: Trainers, friendly employees, great place! more

Rude, overpriced, crowded, small, poor hours 1/27/2008

Be prepared to overpay for rude treatment, particularly from the yoga instructors. Prices are 2-3x those of comparable gyms in the area. It is also a smaller gym, with worse hours from others in the area. The equipment is minimal, the employees are snobby, and there are several things (rowing machine, more freeweights, etc) that are lacking. Other alternatives, such as the nashville athletic club (NAC), the soon-to-open gold's gym, and other gyms in the area provide better service, longer hours, more equipment, and more space. I was a member for three years and was always generally dissatisfied, but too lazy to cancel and find a new gym. After being treated EXTREMELY poorly and rudely by a yoga instructor there on several occasions, and am now a happy member of another gym. Pros: Location Cons: Rude treatment, small, crowded, short hours, snobby, expensive. Join a different gym! more

Staff, Training, Equipment 5/2/2007

I love having a gym of this quality in Bellevue. In the past, I haven't felt comfortable in health clubs. Delta Fitness has a great staff and just an overall nice atmosphere. Unlike the YMCA, you do not have to worry about kids running around everywhere. I accomplish more with my workouts in this facility. Pros: Smoothie bar, helpful staff, no kids Cons: Workout clothing for sale is nice, but expensive more

Wonderful environment 1/11/2006

It is a wonderful facility. The staff are easy to get along with. There is alot to workout equipment. I usually do the treadmill and then the workout equiptment. I never have to wait a turn and feel very comfortable around others I feel are really fit. I don't feel thretened. I love it. Pros: good location, good parking more
