Del Rancho

I go once a week. My son loves the charbroiled Bacon Cheeseburgers. I usually go for the CFS. Cooked just right with be great seasoning in the breading, good beefy flavor and the gravy is from scratch and seasoned to match the cutlet. Definetely not bland, blah, packaged gravy mix. My wife goes for one of their salads and the home made chicken tortilla soup. She gets the larger soup so she can take some home for a lunch meal. The service here is fantastic! The lovely young woman who took care of us today was friendly, patient(she had to explain the ordering system which is really quite simple, but then again so am I), knowledgeable, friendly and had a great sense of humor. She also was very accomodating. She explained the menu, the ordering process - you pick up an old fashioned telephone receiver and order when someone answers- and even offered to place our order the old fashioned way. She checked back to see if we needed anything a number of times and asked how our order was. The food is great! The Steak Sandwich Supreme was perfectly prepared - the crust was, flavorful not overpowering, extremely crispy and not at all greasy. The loaded Fries Supreme actually had visible pieces of real bacon. Both menu items were large enough to share, and although they do not represent health food, they were prepared well using fresh ingredients, and all was served hot - and again, nothing was greasy. The menu offers a number of salads, chili, and other various items typical in this type of restaurant. The whole place was spotless. There is a drive through and what looks like a drive-in in the back. The prices are reasonable and there are coupons available on a number of different sites. In this era of high prices, non-existent customer service, and cold, greasy, inedible food, Del Rancho is like an oasis in the desert. We'll be back! more
