Shame on you Deans! 11/18/2008

This store is a TOTAL nightmare! They will sell you the world and be So professional and "bend over backwards" nice to you until they cash your check! They start by giving you wrong information about where your stove can be installed...then they promise to call with a delivery date, and I tell you if you don't call them at least 4 times, you wont get a call back! They don't show up on time. Don't bring the proper equipment, are nasty on the phone, and then tell you that you can go get your own 4 tons of pellets from the store because they have stopped all deliveries for this year!!!!!!!!!!!! My new COLD non working stove looks wonderful with knick knacks sitting on it! I will be contacting Atty Gen. Blumenthal. This company apparantly got a little too greedy during the oil crisis and took advantage of poor homeowners like me trying desperately to figure out a way to cut back on fuel bills! SHAME ON YOU! more

Avoid this pellet stove dealer 10/21/2008

I decided to purchase a pellet stove this past summer and chose this place after visiting a few stores and checking out comments on line regarding the various stoves I saw. The salesman in this store as I later found out was let go and gave me incorrect information about what I purchased, i.e. that my stove would work with the setback thermostat he sold me ($200) and that I would have my pellets delivered in September. They were never delivered. Calls asking where the pellets were went unanswered. I finally bought them at Home Depot. The stove, as I found out this past week when the weather started to get cold was defective in that it would turn itself off after 20 minutes. However, these things can happen. Easy enough to call for service? Not so, as they never answer the phone or return a phone message. All you can do is leave a message which will not be returned. So I took a trip yesterday to the store. Not many people there and not so busy. Apparently, they just don't return phone calls. I scheduled a service call for this morning for between 8:30 and 9:00. It's now 10:30 and no one is here yet. I called the store and left a message with the service department. Of course, no return call. They may be the biggest dealer around and they did have the pellet stove I wanted, but I would never recommend them to anyone. P.S. I also found out when I went to the store yesterday that they had not been delivering any pellets since July, even though my salesman promised delivery in September. Of course, you could pick them up if you have a way to transport 3 tons of pellets, which you need for a typical winter. more

BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU LISTS THEM AS UNSATISFACTORY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 10/16/2008

Their service is terrible!!! It takes months, literally, to get your product delivered to you! AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS!!!! more
