Worst spa ever! Rude customer service and I'm pretty sure it was the owner, and really horrible ambiance. It's in a strip mall, which doesn't have to be bad but then you walk in and it's obvious it's in a strip mall. Really trashy. more

I really Enjoy my experience in this Spa I return every two weeks for my shallac manicure it lasts longer than any other place I've gone. I first came in on a groupon for Threading a few years back and continue to get my brows done here I wouldn't trust ANYONE else. I was asked to write a review on the other review site Yelp! because they are only showing the BAD ones. I was in the spa wile they were responding to the bad reviews. It saddens me that I wrote one and it never showed up. The manager told me that you have to pay Yelp! in order to feature your good reviews. The beauty industry is very catty and many women who have good experiences don't write good things because they are happy and are not worried about where we spend our money when we are happy. But you make a woman mad and she will tell everyone! more

I have never had a bikni wax before or 5/12/2013

I have never had a bikni wax before or even thought of a bazillion wax. My friend bought an extra groupon so I thought I'd try it out. more

I went to this spa and I did a Brazilian and it was for women only which is not common for the Utah area. this service was really comfortable and it was very clean. the atmosphere was really friendly and there was a lot of privacy. this is the cleanest and friendliest spa I have been to! more

I had a Living social deal that I purchased for a Deluxe Pedicure and a Shelac manicure. The Voucher cost me $35.00. Great deal and I was really excited. When I arrived I asked if I could get Shelac on my toes as well and they said no problem. 3 hours later, I was ready to leave and they told me that I owed an extra $35.00 because I upgraded to shelac on my toes. In general, my service was ok. A little slow but friendly. My nails look ok. not fantastic, but fine. I am very irritated that they DOUBLED my cost without informing me before. more

The Dead Sea Spa is lovely. It is independently owned, and the owner Hana is just as sweet as can be. She is there everyday to ensure everyone's visit is wonderful. I have had many services there and her staff have been wonderful!!! I have had massages, brow threading, facials, and the best manicures, pedicures, and shellac. I would recommend this spa to everyone!!! more

I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to everyone!! It is not your typical spa by any means. I have been all over the valley and this is my very favorite. It isn't the cold, sterile environment you find at most other spas, but rather warm, and inviting. You truly really feel transported away! They are the most friendly staff I have ever encountered! One of their estheticians, Emily is seriously the most talented I have ever known. She has provided me with a body treatment, facial, pedicure, and shellac. They were all way beyond my expectations! No spa I have been to has ever compared to this place. They are so happy to see you return and treat you like a friend! I'm always going back!! Five stars, two thumbs up, and all the best ratings I could give!! more

I loved my experience at the Dead Sea Spa. It was such a wonderful calm ambiance. It was so clean and all the staff were so kind and friendly. It was so peaceful and relaxing. I loved the oxygen bar during my pedicure and the hot stone massage with my facial. I would recommend anyone to come here! more

Booked a massage and a facial. This place was filthy! Every linen was stained and covered with hair. Every corner needed to be swept. Each surface was covered with clutter. I was super uncomfortable in the small rooms and was unable to relax. They were out of almost everything and everything only worked part-way. The music kept catching, the sauna was only medium warm and I couldn't even work up a sweat, the paraffin wax was low and we couldn't get it to cover my hands entirely, while giving me a facial a HAIR from the linens got stuck on my lip. The girl helping me tried hard but this was a huge waste of money. They advertised massage but neither of the girls was a masseuse - they were estheticians only (think annoying light rubbing vs. good massage). I couldn't recommend this place any less. We talked to the owner about our disappointment and instead of reimbursing us she made excuses (""today was our cleaning day, we are short a few girls..."" etc.) Very unprofessional and I would never recommend to anyone. Super disappointing. We had saved up to splurge on this spa day and couldn't have been more bummed out. What a terrible spa. more

I was having a hard time that day and just feeling out of place the ower was very sweet and talked with me about my day and giving me advice on how to take it. She really helped me feel better, she served me some turkish coffe (which i never had before) and it was delicious!!! It really was a WONDERFUL experience!!!! I will always go back to the Dead Sea Spa to get services done!!! Thank you so much!!!! more

I recently got a service done at the Dead Sea Spa. I called and asked what they could do for me and my daughter on a fixed amount. The lady I talked to on the phone. I can't remember her name but I believe she is the owner made a special package for us. They brought us into the room and gave us a face mask from the dead sea and then we went and relaxed in the sauna. After that we went and received a hot stone body treatment with reflexology, paraffin wax and oxygen. We left more relaxed and ready to take on the world. THANK YOU DEAD SEA SPA!!!!!! more

I am agreeing with becster on this one. This spa is a hidden gem. I have been to multiple spas around the area and all of them seemed the same. Nothing set them apart from one another. My friend mentioned The Dead Sea Spa to me a few months back because she goes there for threading. She said they don't play the traditional boring spa music but fun middle eastern music and they serve Turkish coffee or water to their clients. So I decided to give it a try. I went in the first time to just get my eyebrows threaded and I absolutely love the lady that does it. She is from Iraq and has been threading for over 20 years. She does a great job. After that they offered me a special on a pedicure and manicure and I left with the softest feet and the most beautiful nails. I was lucky to have found a place and I don't ever want to switch. more

Don't waste your time! I went in for a BASIC manicure/shellac and within an hour of leaving the place the shellac/polish was bubbling and literally peeling off all my nails. I had to call 3 times to finally have someone answer the phone and talk to me. I explained what had happened, they told me there wasn't anything they could do and I wouldn't get my money back. I told them that was unacceptable and I expect a call back from the owner. The owner, Hannah, called back and literally argued and yelled at me. She told me she wouldn't take my word and I had to go immediately back to show her. This was not possible and I offered to send pictures with time stamps, this was not acceptable for Hannah. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!! Hannah is unprofessional, argumentative and RUDE!!!! more

I purchased a Brazilian Wax from Livingsocial and had a very bad experience. First the person who took my appointment wrote me down for the wrong date. When they called to see where and why I had not shown up the person from the salon argued with me that I made the incorrect appointment and if I wanted to use my voucher that I would have to pay $10 additional when I got to my appointment. When I got to the salon there were many excuses why the person could not provide me with the Brazilian wax. The Tech told me my hair was to short which was not true because I have had a Brazilian with shorter hair and it worked just fine. Also that my body was to warm and the wax would not dry. Then half way through the wax she decided to give up told me she was done and she was sorry. I have hair everywhere and could have given myself a Brazilian better by myself. Very disappointed in the customer service and the services. I feel like purchasing this voucher was a waste of money. more

A Hidden jem 10/6/2011

So i am jumping on the bandwagon to give this spa amazing reviews , I was in the area and saw the huge banner outside with amazing deals .so i thought what the heck let's try it (i was a lil hesitant because of the Arabic (so i found out )writting on the door .\r I was immediatly greeted by the cutest gal ever she was very polite and helpful , I thought, Bonus! What a great receptionist . Come to find out she is the Master Esthetician There. Misty (i have never been greeted by the person who would perform my services let alone in the front ) I immediately decided a spa pedicure was needed.. I love that she had me fill out a form and helped choose a color of polish for my toes . I had been at a farmers market and lets say they were gross , She filled up my tub and washed the dirt off ,she then refilled the tub and put in some amazing bath salts and began her magic . I have never been pampered like this in my whole life It was Heaven , I was offered some amazing turkish coffee during by Hana (who is the owner BTW) Heaven again ... i can honestly say i did not want to leave . Misty (i have a gal crush on her ) convinced me to do a facial in a very sweet way Not pushy at all ... Because this girl is amazingly smart and knows what she is talking about (which btw was Heaven again) i then had threading done by Artiffa who is amazing at eyebrows . Must do, alot better then waxing \r I left with my self esteem in high spirits and new i had found an amazing place for all my pampering needs .\r As long as Misty(The Master Esthetician) is there i will be back for more treatments This gal is amazing and she lights up when she does her services . Such a awesome feeling to be treated like a friend and that is exactly what i am looking for in a spa . \r I highly reccomend this place to everyone They know how to treat a gal right (Oh and its a Women's Only Day Spa ) .. more

Fun Spa 11/20/2009

We walked into this spa by accident. My friend and I fell right at home. The spa was there for women and women only. The girls there are so friendly. Service was excellent. We got our nails done by Rosie. The sweetest, most patient and detail nail technician you'll ever meet.. She takes her time on her service and was very professional. She was experience and enjoy her work. They serve us coffey and make sure that we enjoy our time there becasue it was their goal to pamper us. Its not a commmercial setting type of business so you feel very relax and secluded. After getting our nails done we had a facial. Amy was wonderful and very knowlegable too. We wll be coming back for more. They gave us a tour of the spa and we found out that they do make up and take your pictures for you or your own husband viewing in the back room. Its a fun and interesting spa. I am sure every woman would love it. Pros: For Women Only Cons: Nothing more

A New Discovery 10/26/2009

I visited this salon for an eyebrow waxing since I heard that they only use Sugar Wax and not the other types of wax that they used from most salons. I have sensitive skin and so I am allergic to most products being put on my face. Not only did I found out that instead of using wax they use cotton thread to wax my eyebrow. No products were used on my skin. I heard of threading in big city such as CA or New York but not too much here in Utah. It was the best experience I've ever had. She did a wonderful job on my eyebrow thinning it down which wax couldn't do. She gave me an arch which wax couldn't do. It was so relaxing. After the waxing I got a pedicure done by a cute patient woman name Rosie. She listen to what I needed instead of blabbing her mouths off like most other salon do. To find out that only did they just used mineral products on my feet but they use mineral products on everything at the salon such as facial and massages and they even have a shower for you to use after the sea salt massage. Their location are specialized in reserving the space for the women's privacy and relaxation time only. they have wonderful staffs and technicians. I give this place a thumb up for bringing its culture to us women. I highly reccoment this salon. You wouuld enjoy it. Pros: All Mineral Products Cons: Nothing more
