Great experience, except when leaving.... 9/12/2011

I had my first appointment at Daybreak Salon and Spa this past Saturday. It was a wonderful experience, I LOVE my hair and the atmosphere, until I was leaving. As I walked by the front desk, the manager? was reprimanding a staff member in front of everyone. I felt horrible for the staff member, was uncomfortable myself and couldn't believe the unprofessionalism of the manager. Feedback is good to improve processes in any business, but personal feedback should always be shared in a private setting. more

Had to Have My Hair Fixed 9/10/2011

I had gone to another salon for a haircut and it ended up being cut too short and the color didn't work for me. I called on a Saturday morning and was able to get an appointment with Heather, one of Daybreak's newest stylists. I was a bit apprehensive going to someone I wasn't referred to, but Heather did a beautiful job with my hair. The color is great and she just had to tweak my haircut. I would highly recommend Daybreak Salon & Spa to anyone who may be thinking about getting started with a new hair stylist. more

I have traveled and tried many a salon and spa from coast to coast. I can tell you from experience that Daybreak is top notch and is up there with some of the best salon and spas in New York or California. It is obvious the standards are high at Daybreak because the talent there deliver world class results every time, and I am a tough critic! more

Excellent first time experience! 9/10/2011

I chose Daybreak Salon & Spa because of their excellent reputation, professional layout of the website, and the easy of scheduling an appointment. Never having a facial before, Melissa was extremely thorough and gave excellent advice as to how to change my skin care regiment in order to remedy the issues I'd been experiencing. Upon leaving, she had recommended products for me to use to which I purchased. I love the Aveda line and returned a few days later to purchase Aveda makeup as well. more

  • The history of Daybreak Salon began in 1973, when Mary Toffoli opened "Mary's Beauty Boutique" in Southgate, Michigan. Two years later, Mary married Gary Rushlow and soon changed the name of their salon to "Headway". For over 30 years, Mary and Gary owned and operated their salon while raising three children, Jacob, Jerad and Jenee. Jerad and Jenee followed their parents into the family business and in the fall of 2007, a new chapter was born with the grand opening of "Daybreak Salon & Spa" in Woodhaven, Michigan. Here at Daybreak, the tradition of great talent, professionlism and history of treating each client as a guest continues for the next generation.
