Facial and hair cut 9/23/2011

I can't say enough about the relaxing day I enjoyed at Daybreak Salon & Spa. It started with a wonderful facial with Andrea. between applications of products she massaged my arms, hands, feet and legs. It was a completely rejuvenating experience. Just when I thought it couldn't get better, I recieved a haircut and style, by Heather, that I simply adore. I highly recommend the services of this salon. more

ABSOLUTLY LOVE MY COLOR!!!!! 9/23/2011

I went from light brown to a very dark red. And I couldn't be happier with the results. I have a 14 yr old son who normaly doesn't even notice when I get my hair done. He took one look and said "Mom your hair looks really nice. I like that color on you." Coming from a teenage boy that says a lot!!! more

She colored my hair and I absolutely love it, she was great to talk to and everyone at the salon is so nice. I'm going to come back to her from now on for haircuts also. I would highly recommend it to everybody I know!! more

color & cut 9/20/2011

Yesterday I had my hair colored and styled by Amanda..on short notice..I ran in to make an appointment and the got me in about an hour later..which I was extremely happy about!!! Amanda did a great job, she was super friendly, nice and very sweet and my hair turned out great!!! I have already made another appointment with her for next month. (Oct). This is a great salon and I will also be giving their facials and massages a try also!!!! more

I've gotten to know other employees and they remember me and take the time to talk. The Aveda tea us unreal! You have to try it. Also Megan has my hair lookin' so good I get mistaken for Brad Pitt every so often. more

Massage 9/19/2011

Chuck was the massage therapist that was able to relieve the pain I had been experiencing in my leg. In fact I haven't had the pain since I had the massage. He was very good to also inquire as to what areas I might need to have focused on. I am glad I chose Day Break and recommend Chuck for massages. more

Pedicure 9/17/2011

Jennifer did a great job as usual. My only complaint is that I am buying a bottle of nail polish with every pedicure. I know we are told that it is free and included in the service, but in reality anyone would know that the polish is factored into the cost of the pedicure. I would prefer a choice. I have so many bottles of polish I don't know what to do with them. more

Haircut and color--FANTASTIC. I am so happy I found Daybreak after two years of looking for a good salon downriver. I've lived in Scottsdale, where some of the best salons are and in So. Cal. where I would go to South Beach Plaza, and Daybreak is a close to those top salons as you can find downriver. It will be my salon as long as I live here. more

The front desk staff were very welcoming and friendly however the massage I had was not as relaxing as I had hoped but part of that was my fault in that i did not speak up to say the pressure was too much. Also I prefer less talking during my treatment. more

  • The history of Daybreak Salon began in 1973, when Mary Toffoli opened "Mary's Beauty Boutique" in Southgate, Michigan. Two years later, Mary married Gary Rushlow and soon changed the name of their salon to "Headway". For over 30 years, Mary and Gary owned and operated their salon while raising three children, Jacob, Jerad and Jenee. Jerad and Jenee followed their parents into the family business and in the fall of 2007, a new chapter was born with the grand opening of "Daybreak Salon & Spa" in Woodhaven, Michigan. Here at Daybreak, the tradition of great talent, professionlism and history of treating each client as a guest continues for the next generation.
