My expectations were not met at Davids. I know they have appointments waiting but It felt like they did not care enough, I felt like just another number waiting in line. They didn't offer me a veil or any accessories to try on with my gown. My mother had to ask them if they were going to let me try on veils. They brought me dresses to try on that were obviously way to small. it's embarassing when there are people everywhere and the back of your dress is gaped open for everyone to see. Bought a gown and veil, picked up the veil and asked about getting it steamed. Was told to make an appointment. Called to make an appointment and was told I should have left it there to be steamed and then pick it up on the day we get the gown. Funny, when the veil came in I asked if I could leave it until the dress was altered and was to NO because they don't have room to store all that stuff. I hope that when we pick the dress up it doesn't turn into the fiasco the veil was. We'll see. I told my other daughter that I will not pay for her dress if it comes from David's Bridal. I was in a friend's wedding recently and had a dress disaster. There was nothing I could do but frantically search for another dress the day of the wedding -- Note: I live four hours away from the wedding location.\r I drove to three different malls in the area and stopped at David's Bridal in Florence, Ky., to find a black t-length dress, any kind of dress that fit. I was willing to pay any amount of money.\r When I walked in, no one welcomed me or asked if I needed help. I just figured they were busy. I continued to look through their bridesmaid dress collection and still, no one helped me. I found a dress and took it to the front counter. There was a party up there checking out and shortly left the store. The associate at the counter didn't even make eye contact with me and walked right past me!!\r So, I found a dressing room and tried the dress on. It didn't fit quite right and so I stood next to another associate who was helping someone at the time ... hoping to get a ""I'll be with you in just a moment.""\r Nothing! She breezed right by me as if I didn't exist.\r I will never go to David's Bridal again. I have never been in a store where the people working made me feel so little and invisible.
