Great cuts and balyage colors 4/24/2010

I've been going to Daquila for 18 mos. I've had cuts and colors with both Danielle and Matthew. The balyage technique is great - looks very natural. I've always gotten very flattering haircuts. They offer a great line of products, too - I always end up picking up a new product that is great for my hair. I would highly recommend Daquila - it's a very relaxing atmosphere - nice wide open space, calming colors in the studio - definitely a relaxing way to spend a few hours and leave looking great! I have had cuts and color with Matthew and Deborah and have been very happy. They both do a wonderful job. Schedules are very accomodating for busy clients and the staff is pleasant. Pros: professional cut and color more

Danielle cut my 13 year old son's hair and he absolutely loves it. After a number of haircuts that he has quickly outgrown (and hence have looked terrible), this one is the perfect blend of short and long in the right places. She really understood what he was telling her that he wanted and the outcome is great. Danielle is 'barber trained', which may have made a difference since my son has had a series of haircuts that have just not worked, or they worked initially but then they grew out very quickly. Deborah is amazing. She has a real sense of what looks good on a person and is able to translate it. She helped me transition from brown to gray with strategic blonde streaks, and made bearable what could have been an incredibly painful process. The atmosphere is so pleasant, it feels like you are in someone's home. And, the price is fair. I'm so glad I found Daquila. I think my entire family will be going there. Awesome Salon! 4/20/2010

After moving from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh it took me over a year to find a quality hair salon like Daquila. I am very picky about who cuts and colors my hair and the staff at Daquila not only met, but exceeded my expectations. I have gone to both Danielle and Juana and they are both fabulous! Danielle gave me great highlights and Juana did an amazing cut on my long hair. The salon is also designed with natural lighting in mind. All color and highlights are applied in a room with a large skylight that helps the stylists determine your natural color so that the color they apply compliments your natural tones and existing hair color. My experience was so great that I recommended the salon to my sister who lives almost two hours outside of Pittsburgh! Daquila ""CUTS IT"" as well as COLORS !!! 4/19/2010

I was afraid my blond-on-blond color would be tricky but Deborah precisely matched my up my roots and added perfectly-toned shimmering highlights the very first time I saw her. I did not have to wait a week or two for my haircut to look exactly as I had hoped. Actually, it looked even better than I had hoped. Pros: Deborah performed magic on my hair ! more

I have paid well over $350+ to have my hair styled in NYC and San Francisco for many years and it took me three years of being in Pittsburgh and the recommendation of a friend before I became brave enough to try this place. Great service and even better style! 4/9/2010

I met my new hair stylist who works here (Rachel) out one night. I was so inspired by her fun and professional personality I decided to try Daquilla. Everybody in the salon was very professional and I got the exact cut and color I wanted, and more! They then followed up with a phone call to make sure my hair was exactly what I wanted, and then emailed me a coupon for the next visit! Great staff, great space and great prices! RUN don't walk! Daquila has proved to be one of the best hair salons in the City & I refuse to go anywhere else. My hair stylist of 10 years (Juana) as well as the rest of their staff are amazing. Finally! 4/6/2010

I have very fine hair and it is rare to find a stylist that is able to highlight and cut my hair without having to go back in and make corrections. It seems that stylists typically underestimate the difficulty and I always end up spending much more time than should be necessary at the salon. Fortunately, I have been a client at Daquila for the last two year and each experience has been efficient and blissful. Not only is the atmosphere serene and natural, but the stylists and staff are welcoming and prompt with their service. As a client at Daquila, I now have the privilege of enjoying every trip to the salon. I know that Matthew will take his time making sure the precision of the cut and color is impeccable. One of the best hair salons in the city 4/1/2010

When I mentioned I needed a change after having short hair for over 30 years, Juana and Danielle both helped me rethink how I wear my hair. Everyone is really friendly and very helpful. They have great coffee, keep to their schedule and are really accommodating. Also an excellent assortment of Aveda products. Best Color and cut 4/1/2010

I would reccomend Debbie to cut and color anyone's hair. I have never told any other stylist to do what they want because I never trusted the process so much. I have had my hair blown dry for many occasions and if it has not been Debbie her daughter Danielle and other stylists have been perfect.
