D'amici's Bakery

I can't rave enough about D'amici's bakery. I have always bought all my cakes here and each on is amazing, beautiful and DELICIOUS!! My daughters cake was beyond words, I wish I would send in a picture with this review. I told them she was doing a celebrity theme, and we were having a red carpet... the cake they designed looked like it should have been at an awards show, complete with an oscar on the top! It was the talk of the party. They have always gone way above and beyond at D'amici's and I would never buy my cakes anywhere else. I have also had several parties catered by D'amici's and not only is the food delicious, but it always delivered promptly and professionally. My personal favorite is the chicken marsala and the amazing sandwich wraps. more

Where do I start??? \r \r I ordered a special cake for my Husband a month before the party. I sent in detailed pictures and told them exactly what I wanted. What did I receive a half hour before the party???? Completely opposite of what I ordered. Ugliest cake I have ever seen.\r \r What I ordered: A black fire helmet cake and 50 cupcakes. I even sent in pictures of his helmet and spoke to someone about how I wanted it to look like his exact helmet. They said it wasn't a problem and they have done fire helmets before, \r \r What I received: A red baseball cap with a blue police shield and the word ""lieutenant"" spelled wrong on the front. \r \r After they told me there was nothing they could do to fix it. They said they could charge me for the actual cake and not the decorating costs. I declined because that cake was a disgrace. I wouldn't have taken it if it were for free. \r \r They charged me for the cupcakes which I think was bullsh*t. They already ruined my night, but here is the kicker!!!! I get to the party and open the box to discover I paid for 50 cupcakes and only received 40. \r \r Terrible, disgraceful, and unacceptable. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. and I urge you all to look elsewhere for custom cakes or goodies because they are unreliable. \r \r UPDATE: On Monday afternoon 3 days later after I went in to complain. I did recieve a full refund for the cake and cupcakes. \r more
