I used DEEP to replace a few of my windows in my house recently. The experience was great! Beginning with Gregg explaining in great detail about the windows to the installers who were extremely professional, I couldn't be more satisfied!! I will definitely be calling on DEEP when I need to replace the rest of my windows. more

I replaced four windows and all the siding of my rental property. The crews from Dallas Energy Efficient Products (DEEP) did an excellent job! The vinyl siding gave my property a brand-new, clean and tidy look! I am especially pleased to learn that I will never have to paint the wood siding again! One of my neighbor was so impressed with the quality and reasonable pricing of my siding project that he decided to have his siding replaced with DEEP, too. more

Gregg Graham of Dallas Energy Efficient Products came out to our house and was extremely knowledgeable about house replacement window, vinyl siding, and replacement doors for much greater energy efficiency for our 30+ year old home. Our electric bills had been really high the last few summers and we were looking for some relief. Gregg provided us a detailed proposal and gave us several financing options as well. We shopped a number of other contractors and found Dallas Energy Efficient Products (DEEP) to be about $1,000 less than his nearest competitors for similar products. The DEEP crew showed up on time, were friendly, cleaned up after themselves and did a fantastic job (I've rehabbed a number of homes over the years and these guys were really good.) We love the new windows and doors and were thrilled with the job done by Dallas Energy Efficient Products and their crew. Gregg Graham has the highest integrity and is an expert in the area of: replacement windows replacement windows, replacement window, house replacement window, vinyl siding house, triple pane windows, vinyl siding Dallas. I would highly recommend using them for your home improvement project. more

Lack of detailed information and sloppy installation 2/23/2012

DEEP came recommended from a colleague so I thought I'd give them a go, after getting an estimate from an actual window manufacturer. Gregg Graham, a very nice guy, came to my home and showed me my options. I was specific in my request of wanting clean contemporary / modern styled energy efficient windows. After picking the style I wanted, I asked about glass tint / color, only to be informed that Low-E windows or glass only come clear which is what I preferred. I was given the spiel of the top notch installation crew he uses and how they take care of your home and thoroughly clean up after themselves. I liked what I heard and asked for an estimate and got a few numbers in a paragraph in an email. I emailed back asking for a detailed breakdown, a formalized estimate and got a reply with all of the details typed out in an email, not a formalized document. I should have stopped the process and ran when I heard, ""I'm sorry, I don't have anything like that."" I still have the email. After the front set of windows was installed, I looked from the outside in and the windows had a green tint. I was less than pleased to learn after the fact that ""that is the color of Low-E glass. I don't think it looks bad, you should live with it for a while. You'll get used to it."" At this point, I just wanted it to be over. However, it gets better. The one thing that was never brought up was the framing. They waited until they were installing to asked about what type of wood I'd like as trim, prompting a rush decision as they were trying to get done. This didn't sit well with me, especially in the end when he threw out that he he forgot to charge me for the wood, so he just threw it in. Halfway through the job, Tom, the installer lost the screws that came with the windows. ""Well . . . if you'd like, I can run to Home Depot to get some screws but they won't match your window color and they may stick out in the window track a little, but you should still be able to open and close them."" Absolutely not. I waited an additional day or two for the installation to be complete with the proper screws. The last thing was the sloppy finish. The sealant I requested (which matched the windows) was brown/bronze. Tom applied the silicone bead around the windows then used his finger to smooth out the silicone sealant around all of the window trim and brick. Needless to say, it is smeared and stained all over the wood trim and the very light colored brick of the house. It's just as bad on the inside of the house. And I mean it's smeared . . . . and sloppy. Almost a year later, the seals are breaking away at the gaps where the windows are supposed to meet the house frame. The clean up was less than thorough as there were shards of glass throughout my house from where they broke the old window glass out to remove the old windows. I'm still unclear on why they had to break the glass out vs breaking or pulling out the old already-crumbling seals around the old glass panes. You'd also think after spending so much money on new windows, like a new car, they'd be cleaned after installation. Wrong, the tracks were dirty, frames were smeared with sealant, and they left hand prints and smears all over the glass. There's more that I won't get into regarding a window cut out, and it's debris. Needless to say, from afar the windows look great, seem to be of good quality, and my utility bills have decreased significantly. I went with DEEP on a recommendation and in an attempt to save what amounted to $1000. Lesson learned: Go with your instinct. Just because one vendor is less expensive than the other, doesn't necessarily mean that the quality of work will be any better. Shame on me for settling and being overly tolerant just to get all of this done and behind me. more

Dallas Energy Efficient Products hits homerun 8/23/2011

Our home is a contemporary styled stucco house in a ""C"" shape, with 4 sets of patio doors on the ""inside"" of the C that face the patio & pool. We were in desperate need to replace the original wood fixtures that were warped, rotting, and seals broken on many of the glass panels. The width of each fixture was a bit larger than the typical ""stock"" replacement you could find at home improvement stores. We got bids from a total of 4 companies in the DFW area to do the work. Robert Herold from DEEP was the only salesperson who was able to ""think outside the box"" in order to get us the right sized doors, but at a price that was affordable. He actually bid a product that others in town were going to charge us almost DOUBLE for the same product (and installation). We are EXTREMELY happy with the quality of the ProVia doors, and Robert's ""can do"" attitude. He definitely knows his products. I think the key to his success was also in the fact that he's worked as an installer for DEEP as well, so can look at a job & know EXACTLY what customers will need. In addition, Tom and Justin (the installers) were prompt, friendly, professional, and exhibited true craftsmanship as they removed the old door fixtures and installed the new. They frequently were sweeping & making sure that they didn't leave a mess behind. They did an EXCELLENT job with the finish carpentry and caulking as well. We cannot say enough good things about DEEP. It's so hard to find companies that provide top-quality products & services, but at affordable prices - not to mention the attention to detail, courtesy, and professionalism. We are so happy with DEEP's work on the replacement patio doors that we have contacted them again to have all 20 windows in our home replaced!! If you are looking to have your home's doors or windows replaced, you will be VERY pleased with the people at DEEP. Bravo to Robert, Tom, and Justin!
