Dagwoods was a pleasant surprise to stumble across. Their pizzas are perfect. The buffalo chicken wings pizza is the winner! The subs get 5 stars as well. the prices here are great, the pizzas are theee best in town, hands down. 5 times ordering here now, always on time, every pizza has been stellar!! more

Pizza was good, BBQ sauce was sweet and chicken was tender...nice and cheesy! Loved it. more

There was a glitch in the order system on Eat 24 that caused my order to be altered and over charged. Not a big deal and i'm not complaining about that. What was terrible was the customer servic experience from Nick and the other Sunday evening manager at Dagwoods who preferred to waste my time explaining that it was an Eat 24 problem and NOT thiers. They would rather pass the buck. Eat 24 and Dagwoods have a business partnership. If one partner makes a mistake the TEAM makes a mistake. At one point the manager told me to take it up with Eat 24 and would have washed her hands of the problem had I not obected to the poor customer service. Finally she agreed to charge the original amount. But she hung up on me preffering not the hear me ask her no the pass the buck. Denial and blame shifting is no way to manage a business or deal with a customer. more

I have to say I'm very disappointed with the quality of food they serve at this place. I ordered for delivery and after 25 minutes I called to check the status. A lady picked up the phone and told me that my order will be ready to leave in a couple minutes. Right after we hung up the delivery guy called to say he was outside. Wow! Obviously, she had NO idea what my order status was. The delivery guy was nice though. The food here is really just not worth putting into your body. Everything tasted bland. How do you mess up on garlic bread either?? No really, how? I love the various types of garlic breads I've tried throughout my lifetime, but the ones they serve here.. I can't even call it garlic bread. My spaghetti tasted so bland. It was like eating noodles in watery pasta. You can't even taste the pasta. Chicken had no flavor either. I don't judge harshly when it comes to food or write reviews about it either, but honestly eat somewhere else and save your $$. This place was terrible. I remember I used to complain about school food, but I'd definitely rather eat the food they served at my high school. Even their garlic bread was 10x better. more

Totally ok ~ not great, but not atrocious, either. Delivery guy was friendly & personable, & spoke English :) Delivery timing was good ~ on the low end of the estimate. Love that there is no delivery fee! more

Of all the awful pizza joints in town, this is the best of the worst, though it never really transcends mediocrity. Toppings are plentiful, grease factor is moderate, crust is about a C- on the chewiness/crispiness scale, cheese is appropriately gooey. There is absolutely nothing that stands out as particularly noteworthy - sauce is OK, toppings are fresh and OK tasting, cheese is OK. A decent value for the price, and a step above Pizza Hut. It's too bad Los Angeles is a wasteland for truly good pizza. Pros: Average pizza, average value for your money Cons: Average pizza, average value for your money more

Always on the hunt for the best thin-crust pizza, we have become recent fans of Dagwood's in Venice. Delivery is fairly quick, and the nice folks on the phone do everything they can to accommodate special requests like easy-cheese or well-done. The salads are nicely sized and are made from fresh ingredients. If I had one complaing about Dagwood's, it would be that they don't sauce far enough out on the crust. I would definitely recommend Dagwood's to a friend if they are looking for tasty thin crust in Venice or Santa Monica. Pros: quick delivery, good thin crust more

This is a great local chain (there are two). They have excellent pizza. You can choose your toppings and even request fat-free cheese. The salads are also delicious, epecially the avocado salad (add chicken and it's even better). They have pasta staples too, but I think the pizza, salads and sandwiches are better options. There are a couple small tables outside and some booths inside. It's super casual. Perfect after a day at the beach or just a low-key dinner. Pros: good food, good price more

Very good food. Very good service. Our family didn't know what we wanted, pulled up city search, and found Dagwood's! Very enjoyable, quick delivery, and helpful employees. I would definatly eat there again!!! more
