Cute little theater 5/11/2006

I have seen Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables here. As long as you don't have nosebleed seats, the show is great. The sound quality is great and I really liked them. Phantom was definitely my favorite. My mom and I went and we both were impressed with the quality of the effects and the sound. There isn't a whole lot of parking in the vicinity, so if you end up going, go early because it may take some time to find somewhere to park, and it may be pricey. more

ugh! horrible seating arrangements! 3/17/2006

My friends and I went to see Lestat at the Curran Theatre last year and we got seats in the balcony. I had no idea how poorly designed this place was. It was difficult to enjoy the show because there was so little legroom that my ankles (that I twised recently) began to hurt. I think I was lucky because the seats in front of us remained empty throughout the show so I was able to throw my legs over that seat. Also, since we sat in the middle the ushers told us to duck down because otherwise we'd be in the way of the projector and our sillouettes would appear on screen...But man they cram you in there like sardines. If you do go, don't sit in the balcony, you won't have a very enjoyable time... more

Curran Theatre 3/10/2006

I saw Les Miserables at the Curran Theatre. While it’s a relatively small theater (compared to the Orpheum), the seats are very comfortable (although small) and although the theater is old, it looks renovated. The whole theater is just beautiful. I love that this theater is near Union Square. The drinks are a little too expensive here. more
