Crofton Yoga

I can't say enough good things about this yoga studio. One of the things I had on my list of 'to do when I retire' was take a yoga class. Over the years I had tried aerobic dance classes and liked them; had about 25 exercise/dance videos/DVDs but rarely used them. You get the picture. My stick to it gene was not strong until I discovered Crofton Yoga Studio. I googled for a yoga studio nearby and up popped this studio. I signed up in January 2008 and have been a regular ever since. Many of my friends suggested that I try the senior center since I was 65 but that didn't float my boat. I called and didn't like the sound of the elderly voice that answered. Sure am glad. The Wednesday morning session with Emily is a dream. We seem to be a chatty group and most of us have been in the class since my first day. I feel strong and lean and flexible which I attribute to Emily's constant encouragement. If it makes me feel good about myself and younger than my 70 years, my husband says 'keep going.' Thanks! more

I went to Crofton Yoga soon after they opened. I liked it a lot but found that they are very much a family type business. For beginners it was difficult to get enough classes at night throughout the week. There were many courses for Mom's and Baby and so on...not much for a beginner adult. The class I took was nice. The Crofton Yoga studio has become one of my favorite places. I started taking yoga there (level 1) because they actually have a nice babysitting service right on sight. I'm now am looking at their pilates as well. I always feel better after class--calm and relaxed--and it has helped with a back pain I've had for years. Their theme is ""yoga for every body"" and I believe it. You'll find all shapes, sizes and ages there. I'd reccomend Crofton Yoga, and yoga in general, to anyone. more
