counseling session 6/10/2017

When considering a reverse mortgage, it was a bit overwhelming at first. After doing some research, I contacted an agency to start the process. A counseling session was required, and I contacted Debt Helper. I'm so thankful that they assigned Bill Messerschmidt as my counselor. Bill was pleasant and patient as he took me through an enormous amount of information, explaining it so that I could easily understand my options. He thoroughly covered the entire spectrum of financial aid for seniors, helping me to be comfortable with my decision. more

Help with mortgage modification 2/4/2015

I have been trying to modify my mortgage for two straight years without any luck. I finally went to Florida's Hardest Hit who had previously helped me pay the arrears of my note. With the help of Francisco Vargas from Debt Helper, my mortgage company finally agreed to a two year modification. Since I had already tried getting this arrangement myself directly with the mortgage company for two years, I know it was Francisco's help in the matter that made them agree. I don't know what I would have done if I had not received this assistance and I'm grateful that Florida's Hardest Hit/Debt Helper was able to intervene and get us some relief for my situation, even if it is temporary. This was a very helpful experience. Debbie Lormejuste was extremely knowledgeable and went over all details in a way that a 'lay' person could easily understand. I was dreading it because I've never before in my life had credit issues, it Debbie made everything seem alright was was very kinda liked it more

Just finished my council for a reverse mortgage with Debbie. While I was stressing and a bit nervous about the process, talking to a knowledgeable agent like Debbie made the process a piece of cake. She stopped to answer any questions and when I didn't quite get it she had the patience to explain it again.
