One of the Best head shops of New England 1/14/2011

In Maine and need a piece? You need to check this place out. Go down the basement ""through the rabbit hole"" and end up in a magical world of glass pieces. I felt like a kid in a candy store. They asked for my ID once we got down there and also for a school ID to confirm my age (I have an out of state license) something very legit and that I respected. Other then that everyone who worked there was extremely chill giving it a really nice atmosphere. We actually ended up having a really good conversation with a few of the workers and ended up getting some really nice deals on some prime pieces in the end. Thanks again Cosmic Charlies we will be back for more soon! more

Ive been going to Cosmic's for years now and would recommend this smoke shop to everyone!!! Jada, Steve, and the crew are the friendliest group of people willing to help everyone find what they need. From their rockin' clothing, to beautiful jewlery, and down the rabbit hole. They have the largest selection around with very reasonable prices. You'd have to be crazy not to stop by! more

Best Place Around 12/18/2010

I've been to many glass shops and specialty clothing stores included Mexicali Blues, and this is by far the best shop around. The people, atmosphere, and products are what truly make this place great. The prices are very reasonable and they have a huge assortment to choose from. I live more than an hour away and travel there to shop frequently. It's worh the trip! more

I've lived in or around augusta my whole life and Cosmic Charlies has always been a constant in downtown. I went there the other day and walked out with all kinds of great Christmas gifts for people that i never thought i would. The prices were great and the help was outstanding. more

You've got to check this place out. They've got so much! Every time I go in there to check out their huge glass selection I bring my wife along too, since she loves the jewelry they've got up stairs. The staff is super friendly, too, and they'll do just about anything to help you find what you're looking for. This store is pretty much the crown gem of the downtown Augusta area. more

A great place to browse! Items include posters,rings, pen-\r dants, body jewelry, incense,essential oils, candles, dresses,scarves,hats, Tyedyes, pipes, papers and other things too numerous to list. The personal service is excellent. However, they do not take checks or credit cards.(Hence, only four stars) Also, they have a limited return policy, not accepting body jewelry or tobacco products for sanitary reasons. Cosmic Charlies is THE MAD NOTE.the upstairs is amazing dragons fairy's and tons of body jewelery and an awesome selection of clothes. But if you live in Maine and you haven't ventured into the rabbit hole watch out its by far the largest selection of glass in the state. Itl blow your mind. So don't end up with something imported you got online that arrived broken go to cosmic charlies and see what you've been missing. Pros: The service is good and the people are friendy. Cons: But sadly they dont have a Cosmic Charlies in every state. more

I have been going to Cosmic Charlie's since I was a kid and it has always been a fun experience. The workers are friendly and approachable and the store is full of amazing products for people of any age. The prices are extremely reasonable and the products are reliable. The store is full of beautiful tapestries, incense, candles, high-quality clothing, posters, jewelry, tobacco pipes and so much more great stuff. If you have never been to Cosmic Charlie's, or even if you have, it is always worth the trip to Augusta. Pros: Great service, great people, great products. Cons: None. more

I went to cosmic charlies today and it was an amazing experience i went there looking for a great new years present for my self and i was approached with a smile from the owner and i asked for his opinion on a worth my money deal and he should me a beautiful water pipe and explained everything i was looking for in one. this moral of my experience is that cosmic charlies is a sweet stop by shop with very chill place to see! Dissappointing 12/28/2009

They have no local competition so their prices are high. Additionally they have horrible customer service. So one pays more for a product but gets less in that the service is sub-par, not to mention they take cash only. The minor inconvenience created by ordering online is better than the prices and treatment of this establishment. Interestingly enough I have seen several positive reviews and they all seem like ""ads"" or friends/staff writing them. The negative ones seem to reflect what I experienced. Crazy selection of pipes 6/22/2009

I've never seen such a selection of pipes! They even have vaporizers! This place is a must visit. Such a wide variety of products, it would take a whole day to check out everything. They have some really cool jelewry that I have seen any where before. Support local buisnesses! more

So sorry the last reviewer didn't get a chance to see the newly open cosmic charlies you are missing out. There new store has it all clothing,rock merch,incense,candles so much sweet stuff its crazy & The Rabbit hole O>M>G this part ROCKS!(gotta be 18 tho w/I.D.) Adult toys,sex swings,party favors & i swear it's endless glass pipes! OH dont forget to see there sweet dog Charlie(bring him cookies or treats he loves those LOL) This place truly rocks, they did a great job with the new store.I give this store 6 stars just because they are great folks and it was just what downtown Augusta needed a bigger cosmic charlies:)Hey don't take my word for it go say hi to Charlie for yourself(don't forget the cookies) Who knows mabey we will cross paths on a shopping trip for all that is cosmic.Hands down the nicest store in Augusta if not all of Maine. Never Open 12/15/2008

This place is closed everytime I go there. There is a sign on the door with the store hours, and I go there within those hours, and the door is locked and all of the lights are off. It's ridiculous! They never seem to be open during their stated hours. They might as well just close for good. Also, when I call to find out if they will ever be open fo business, the phone just rings and tings with no answering machine message or voice mail. I've been trying to buy something from there for a month now, and it's useless. They obviously don't care about sales.\r more
