So I have been on two leases with coronel apartments. The first year was fine! They are definately the cheapest places walking distance to SBCC. Its almost all college students so yeah, its loud, but it actually felt like a college enviornment which I liked since I was going to a city college.\r

So we signed up and unfortunately I had to move out, so I found someone to replace me on the lease and we signed a peice of paper. I was off the lease, she was on and that was that. I stayed in touch with the remaing girls on the lease and they said things went down hill after I left, but I thought they were being dramatic.\r

The next fall I signed another lease with new girls. Long story short, I had to move out again. The place had gone to the dogs. There was mold inside the houses which the management just painted over. There was trash and dog poop in the common areas. The tennants were gross shady people and just a couple college kids. Maitenence requests took 3 days to get done. Water was turned off and on without warning. \r

Anyways, they were under new managment and this time wouldn't let me get off the lease even though I found a new girl who qualified to replace me. The lease was the exact same one I signed the year before, so I had no idea I wouldn't be able to get off it this time. Such crap. \r

On top of all that, now apparently we had to give 30 days notice for our lease to be up! It doesn't just end on the day your lease says it will! Our lease is until the begining of August but somehow, even though the girls the year before didn't have to, we were supposed to give 30 days notice or we're roped into a longer lease! \r

Oh and, they don't give you barely any of your deposit back and take away obscene amounts for no good reason.\r

Bottom line is I used to think this place had some redeeming qualities; I was wrong. It is in no way worth the cheaper rent, you may as well sell your soul to the management company when you sign on the dotted line. \r
