Unforgiveable 12/17/2011

I am in the Army and in Afghanistan right now. I ordered flowers to be delivered to my mother for her 64th birthday and they failed to deliver them. I ordered her flowers with a personal note because I was going out on mission and if anything happened to me, at least I would have left my last words to my mom in a great way. Well due to the inept sales associate there, this was never to be. When I called two days later (after I came back from my mission) the same sales associate answered the phone and informed me that she was supposed to ask for my billing address for my credit card and that's why they couldn't process the order. After I had given her my CC info, I asked if there was anything else and she replied no, that's it. She never mentioned the billing address nor did she request it. She also never asked for any other sort of contact information when I told her that a phone number is impossible to give out being that I was in Afghanistan. This is sales associate 101 and she failed. The manager with a thick foreign accent wasn't helpful either, just reiterating the problem and not offering any solutions. Learning from these mistakes, I will now do more than just trust google to choose the closest florist to the delivery area, and will also look at reviews such as this. I also made sure that the new florist I went with (to send a belated gift) copied down an email address from me. I would avoid this florist like the plague. more

DONT LISTEN TO POOR REVIEWS WE DID AND IT ENDED UP COSTING ME DOUBLE FOR A CORSAGE FOR MY SONS PROM. we went to windys flowers first because of the horrible rating for conroys and when i saw the pathetic corsage my son would have had to give to his date we immediately went to CONROYS. we ordered a corsage for that night and it was absolutely beautiful just like the photo. The gentleman who helped was great and let me know which flowers were going to be a little different due to availability. The final result was so great it was worth the little extra we paid. My sons date had never seen a corsage like the bracelet one we selected and she loved it. I spent 23 dollars at windys and it had fake leaves roses the size of the 99 cent store mini rose bush and only three with wilting babys breath. The corsage from Conroys was about forty but it was covered in flowers and nothing was fake the style was so different that my sons date said she was the only one at the prom with a corsage that looked like a bracelet. Once again i have to say dont listen to the negative reviews they must be old ones because our experience was wonderful. it has been two days and they are still lovely without being in water more

Customer is Not Always Right at Conroy's 4/7/2011

I had an arrangement delivered to my daughter this week for her birthday, ordered through a national 800 service. Even though it was ordered 2 days in advance, to be sent to where she worked it was not delivered until 430 in the afternoon, looked pathetic compared to how it was represented on the website and did not have the mylar ""happy birthday "" balloon that was supposed to accompany it (which was one reason I ordered that particular arrangement). When I contacted the 800 # that evening, they were very apologetic and I was told that a new, complete arrangement would be delivered the next MORNING. Period. All that was delivered was an infuriating phone call by someone named Jeff who claimed that he would have to swap the new one with the old one (which was already home by now) because it was policy and then proceeded to talk about protecting their ""profit margin."" He insisted that the only way we could receive an accurate order was to retrieve the old one, bring it back to the workplace and they would swap it or they would deliver to my daughter's home after 7. Multiple arguments ensued - over a silly problem that could be easily rectified! All at the customer's inconvenience. more

Very Poor Arrangment and Quality... Complete Bummer 11/3/2010

I was the recipient of an unexpected floral arrangement. Naturally I was surprised and very happy. Two days later, hardy flowers like daisies and the greenery, were all completely wilted. As I pulled out the wilted flowers... all the daisies were covered in BUGS... no joke! They didn't use the floral foam which is appropriate for the large wide base the arrangement had. On top of which, some of the flowers and greenery were literrally arranged sideways so they couldn't have reached the water anyway. I order flowers frequently for my family & friends and am always a little bit worried that about the quality of what they will receive or the price that I pay. I would be crushed if they received an arrangement that was this poorly done and made with what appeared to be backyard flowers. more

I went to Conroys Flowers at 4310 Genesee Ave, San Diego, CA 92117 last week, and I had a horrible experience. I've been coming there for years when I guess the last owner and the a couple of the girls still worked there. I had a nice visit with them. more
