I made an appt for today. When I arrived not only was my appointment not written down but the individuals there had no idea when GINA would arrive. Apparently the person who took the appointment was the father and the person working was the mother. Sometimes family should not work together cause all it does is create an unprofessional environment as I just witnessed today. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! They do not know how to handle people, AT ALL!! more

This is not your typical chain salon in Miami. I recently had my hair highlighted from the salon owner. She was very nice and she did an excellent job. The prices were very reasonable and the service was exceptional. I would definitely return. more

I went to concepto hair and body salone today to have a simple hair cut. I had read all the reviews before and I decided to go there because I thuoght that it maybe good. It was terrible. The woman did not do anything to my hair. She cannot speak english at all. She just wet my hair, played with that and after 40 min told me that it was finished. She just make my hair worse and destroyed all the layers that I had before. She does not have any talent in this job. If you do not want to waste your money, do not go there ever. It is terrible. more

This salon is the best shop on miracle mile! Justina is my stylist and she is very warm and caring. She has this unique deep conditioning treatment that leaves my hair so soft,light and shiny! and the prices are just unbelievebally affordable. Justina transformed my hair within a month, her blowouts are perfect! more

I love coming to Concepto to get my coloring and cut done by Justina a.k.a. ""Tati"". She has been doing this for a long time and is a true professional. My 10 year old daughter also loves getting her hair cut with Tati. We both have long, thick hair and she leaves looking beautiful again and again. I also have tried the eyebrow threading with Gina which is a definite plus and hard to find in Miami. Everyone here is great and make you feel at home. I've been going to concepto for more than a year now. I was a bit skeptical at first. I'm used to dominican stylists in NYC. To my surprise the owners are dominicans from NYC as well. The lady that always does my hair is Tati. What I liked is that she always leaves my hair nice and straight but bouncy. Doesn't feel greasy or heavy and it lasts for days. The ladies there are very nice, attentive and know what they are doing. I highly recommend this place. One suggestion: call before you go. Pros: Great Prices. Very profesional. Cons: Parking. more

After checking with other salons in the area I decided to give Concepto a chance for two reasons: they were able to give me an appointment for the same day and their prices were not exorbitantly high like the other salons I called. I went to Concepto on last Thursday and went in for a manicure and pedicure. I then saw one of the ladies doing a blowdry and decided to also get my hair done. They were very accomadating and they blowdried my hair while I was getting my mani - pedi. My hair looked amazing, I was really amazed at how shiny my hair was. I was serviced by a lady named Rosa who was very pleasant, and did a great job. My mani-pedi looked great too. The blowdry was only $35 dollars and the mani-pedi was about $30. Not only was it affordable but it didnt take very long. All in all if your looking for quick inexpensive service, Concepto is your place. I came in for manicure & pedicure lured by location (Miracle Mile) & prices (cheap-inexpensive) $8 for ""seniors"" & $10 for others, myself. First, I don't believe one must spend a lot of money for a great beauty service, particularly mani-pedi. HOWEVER, with Concepto, you definitely get what you pay for. FYI, I get weekly manicures & biweekly pedicures. I noticed the women who was serviced before me. Her nail polish job looked sloppy. Polish was on the skin & not a professional look at all. The nail lady brought a foot tub wrapped with a plastic bag & told me to put my feet in it while she did my manicure. I put my feet in the lukewarm-coolish water. I watched her do the manicure & wondered if she was licensed bc her technique looked amateurish. I noticed a young lady getting highlights. She looked frightened. The lady painted my nails. The limited choices include milani, revlon and old Essie products. At the end, my polish, too, looks so sloppy as if I had done them myself. I decide to cut my losses & forgo the pedicure. The manicure took 45 minutes & looks so bad I wish I could post pictures here. As for the girl getting her highlights. She looked at me while my nails dried & asked me how her hair was looking. She said her hair is a very light brown. But it was now brassy & Orange with streaks of platinum blonde. I brought her a mirror & she began to cry. The girl said she had been there since 11am. It was now 1:30pm. I felt so bad for her. I was telling her about a place to get it fixed that wasn't too expensive. All of a sudden, the ladies appeared to understand English. Obviously, they probably weren't too happy about that. But it didn't matter. Tomorrow I'm going for a REAL manicure & pedicure which will end up costing more than if I'd gone somewhere else to begin with. Go here if you choose, but remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR & THE CHEAP COMES OUT EXPENSIVE. Better options are Kelly at City Nails in Kendall/127th or Beauty Strategy in Coral Gables. Went to the beauty salon Concepto. It's a nice place, didnt have to wait a long time, they started working on my hair 5 min after my appt time (not bad). I have short hair and it was $25, Gina blew out my hair and it looks very nice. Next time I will go back during the week and not on a sat to avoid the crow. more
