I did not miss a single appointment with my wife during our first pregnancy, I am hoping some soon to be moms/dads who are doing their research will come across this and stay away from this practice. This bunch is tricky they will push you into thinking that your wife needs a c-section. You won't even see the Dr on every visit! Also, look up the c-section rate for each Dr. vs. the national average and the c-section rate of the The Women's hospital of Texas, it's nuts! I am not saying that every birth will go smoothly and I do believe c-sections are necessary when there is a medical emergency. We asked to use a Doula and the Dr had a very negative response and told us that she can't go against anything I say or I will not allow her in the room, then proceeded to recommend a notorious ""epi-doula."" I even spoke with nurses at the hospital and when I told them what practice my wife was using and that we wanted to TRY for an un-medicated natural birth, they told me there is more than a 30% chance that your wife will get a c-section. We transferred out at 38 weeks and are now waiting to deliver with a midwife. Scary to know that all this crap just goes under the radar, it's a shame. I'm just so happy my wife walked out of there on her own and said she'll never go back. Feel free to email me if you have more questions, shalinm@gmail.com, I would be more than happy to meet with you somewhere and tell you more about why these type of Doctors need to be exposed for what they are really trying to do, intervene when not necessary. Child birth is supposed to be natural and has been that way for thousands of years. I just hate that our first experience has been like this and I just don't want anyone else to go through this. They are good doctors and it's a nice office, but doctors are only needed during child birth if there are complications. Sorry complete women's care but I am speaking/writing from the heart, I know you will probably respond to this, but please don't call or contact my wife about this review (as you already have done via email on why she left at 38 weeks when it was pretty clear why we left, I even had to say at one appointment please stop saying the word c-section), as you have caused her enough grief. Thank you for your time review readers. Remember pick your OB carefully and do plenty of research, that is where the blame falls on me, if I would have done some research we would have never gone there in the first place. UPDATE: we had a healthy baby boy, who was full term (not 41 weeks like Complete women's care made us believe) 7lbs 11oz (not 10lbs like they made us believe), he was born at a birth center, totally un-medicated and vaginally = )
