I agree with the hype theory of Cold Stone. I can buy the same ingredients and mix them myself. What's the difference? That I don't have a cold stone to mix it on. A bowl works...

Creamery leaves me cold 2/18/2003

While the Cold Stone Creamery SEEMS like a neat idea, I was pretty dissatified with our experience. It's not the staff's fault - they are very helpful and personable. I didn't like the ice cream! The texture and taste were not pleasing to me. I thought it was very expensive, too. And what was even worse is that artificial-smelling waffle cone aroma that completely permeates the store - and your clothes even hours later! I will NEVER go back to a Cold Stone Creamery again. Give me Gelato Classico any day. Cons: icky smell!, not a good value more

ice cream 2/17/2003

Try the cinnamon ice cream with graham crackers-- Yummy goodness! Pros: ice cream, choices Cons: the wait can be long more

mmmmm!!!!! 2/7/2003

This is the best ice cream place ever!!! I go there all the time because it has every kind of candy you would want to mix in with ice cream Pros: Tastes Good, Can Make your own, They sing! Cons: Sometimes crowded more

overrated 11/14/2002

I thought the place was highly overrated. I prefer my basic ice cream to be creamy and with extreme flavor. I had their most flavorful vanilla with cookie dough and I was disappointed. It wasn't very creamy, they needed to keep chopping up the ingredients, very lumpy. Very disappointing Pros: location, weird varierties Cons: lack of flavor, the wait more

fresh ingredients 10/2/2002

Creamery Consoeiur 8/19/2002

This particular Cold Stone is our favorite. We always receive prompt service and the young people are always friendly. We actually live in San Jose and when we want ice cream we drive 20 miles to this Cold Stone and we have others closer that we have visitied but do not like as well as thei Cold Stone. Pros: Very fast service, Very friendly, Smooth taste more

fab ice cream 8/4/2002

Very interesting choices available for all tastes. However it can get very expensive. It's a nice treat every now and then. more

Creamy but sweet 7/24/2002

I definitely love the ice cream there for it's texture, smoothness, and also love the choice of add-on ingredients that are available. Most combinations however do end up being way too sweet for me (and I love sweets!), especially if you get the waffle cup! But the service is great and fun, especially when they get tipped!! Pros: smooth and creamy, great ambiance, many choices Cons: too sweet, too crowded, expensive more

Smack me silly! 7/23/2002

Wow, this is GREAT! A bit on the soft side (otherwise they couldn't smash it up so good), the ice cream has a great flavor and the mix-ins blend superbly. The help is fun, too, making for an enjoyable experience. If only they didn't hawk the extra portions (at a price) so much... more

Simply the Best 7/18/2002

Unbelievable taste and customization. Perfect ice cream. Been to many Cold Stone Creameries. The one in Palo Alto is outstanding. Pros: Cold, Creamy, Delicious Cons: Wait more

Average if you think about it 6/3/2002

I agree with the hype theory of Cold Stone. I can buy the same ingredients and mix them myself. What's the difference? That I don't have a cold stone to mix it on. A bowl works just fine for me. I think Cold Stone is like the Chuck E Cheese of Ice cream stores. I don't like how they sing. I guess its good for kids. more
