I always take my cars to Cleggs because they are honest and fair. It's also family owned, which is pretty cool. I would recommend them to anyone.

Worst

didn't want to go this far to fix my car but couldn't drive any farther...what a nightmare! Never come back again.

Thanks for helping me match my car care to my budget 9/15/2011

I took my car to Clegg's to have my oil changed. They recommended several other maintenance items as well as a couple of repairs they said should be addressed soon. When I asked them if I had to have it all done right then they gave me their opinion on how critical each item was and we planned out a timeline that I felt comfortable with. \r \r I felt like they wanted to help me understand my car and learn more about what could be done to keep it going without the high pressure scare tactics. I'll never return 6/18/2011

Don't believe everything you hear or read. I've known lots of people that have gone to Clegg's and have been happy. So, I decided to try it. I was sorely disappointed. Our car had several problems. I'd already looked at Autozone and Oreilly's for certain parts. Clegg's said they could order two parts--one that cost $185 and one that cost $335 and they weren't sure which one was right. The part at autzone: $20. Yes, it is true. \r \r We opted out of that fix and had them find a problem for a headlight. They found the problem (headlight switch) and said the car would be done by the next day between 1 and 3. No problem. They ordered the headlight switch part. Next day came...nothing. I called them after 3:00 even though they SAID they would call. They had no part and it was the weekend so we were going to be without a car for another two days. I went, got the car, we found the part online for $40 less and this was a job we could do ourselves. What did we get? Payed $42 for them to tell us more

Great shop 2/25/2011

Cleggs is honest and fair. I always take our cars there. I feel like they don't try to oversell me, but are honest and up front with what repairs I need. more

Honest, low prices, great work! 5/25/2010

I go to Clegg's every year for my state inspection, and they have always been great to work with. The first year my car was having a difficult time starting - they traced it to the ignition, and repaired it for 1/4 what Tunex had charged me for the same job 15 years before - without breaking my steering column like Tunex did. Kyle was great - he chatted with me for about 20 minutes while they finished up. They don't try to fix was isn't broken either. They're honest, have low prices, and they do good work! more

Sales Manager 5/11/2010

These reviews are tough. It is impossible to please everyone. Even the best of businesses will always have disgruntled customers who simply vent a half truth reflecting only their frustration. I have worked with Kyle and Cleggs car cares staff for many years, and currently take our business vehicles there for repairs. They do their best to be honest and upfront with everyone. To clarify, Kevin from Clegg machine which is just east of Cleggs car care, is an unrelated business who's owner just happens to be a distant cousin. I have worked with them however on a few occasions for engine machine work, and also found them to be great people. -Shane more

They don't warranty the car because they haven't worked on the car at ALL! 4/19/2010

We purchased a car for my daughter after my husband past away hoping it would help her grief. Clegg's showed us the paperwork stating that it had rebuilt the engine the previous month Dec 2008, so I felt okay about the purchase and my brother in law had checked things out but within 3 months the engine stopped working and when I took it into another automotive place they said that it had not had a rebuilt engine if ever. They are evil and I made a terrible mistake to have taken my money to them. I'm surprised they can sleep at night. more

Awesome 12/14/2009

I have gone in a few times to get miscellaneous repair work done; they are fast, and HONEST. They have been recommended to me by many people, and I have had wonderful experiences with them myself. Kyle and Jordan are both so kind and helpful. I live in SLC, but I will drive down because I don't trust anyone as much as I trust them. more

Cleggs Horrible Experience with owner, never going back 12/9/2009

Horrible Experience! Do not trust Clegg's! I have used cleggs for years, I have had a few problems but we wanted to stick with them because people refer them and say they are honest and do good work, I have referred many with the same sentence. Never again, today was the worst experience I have ever had with a service shop, and it was the Owner Kyle Clegg himself. He was abusive, rude, insulting and hung up repeatedly, When i finally got my car back i found out the work was not done. I dont know what the problem is every time i try to talk to Kyle Clegg he hangs up, and when i picked up the car he was nowhere to be found and his cell phone wasnt working according to employees, who had no idea what was going on? more

Clegg's is Honest and Fair 10/14/2009

I live in South Jordan, but take my cars down to Clegg's because I know they are honest. I have taken my car to Clegg's for 10 years. They have always been very honest with me. The wait time has been a little longer than originally estimated once, but the rates have always been fair. That's why I still head down to Clegg's when I can't fix it myself. more

Clegg's Car Care is honest and upfront. Well worth it. 6/17/2009

I was refereed by a friend to Clegg's. I was so impressed with their honesty and customer service. They were much cheaper than the chain mechanics around town. The owner took care of me personally and called to let me know of the few other things he found (some were worse than we thought and some were not as bad). Such a good company! more

Great Business. 11/7/2005

I had a very positive experience with Cleggs. I have taken my car in for a few different repairs. One time I brought it in for a brake problem. After they looked it over they told me what the problem was but that it was under a factory recall and I would be better off to take it to the dealership. They were happy to fix it, but said it could be done for free at the dealership. I really appreciated their honesty. They are a little bit more expensive than most shops but they get the work done in a timely manner and I appreciate the honesty. more
