I have Clearwire in Jacksonville, FL and it simply does not work most of the time. I can't even browse ebay! It is literally as slow or slower than a dial up connection and Clearwire will not let me out of my 2 year contract when they fail to provide adequate service. more

3G internet speed 11/26/2010

When it comes to maximum download speeds, Clear blows conventional 3G Internet service out of the water. The 3.0 Mbps benchmark speeds and 350 Kbps we managed to pull with torrent files in areas of excellent signal trump anything you can do with a piddly 3G card. more

instant connectivity 11/18/2010

My Clear Motorola Home CPE arrived by FEDEX today. I plugged it in and within 3 minutes I had 5 bars. I connected my iMac to the modem and had instant connectivity. My first SpeedTest came in at 11.25Mbps download and 1.02 upload. Latency however was over 200. I connected the modem to my old WR850g router and after updating the firmware I had great connectivity. Speeds have averaged around 10Mbps throughout the afternoon and evening. The lowest speed I've seen was 6.8. Hope the clear internet service continues. more

no fix for my problem 11/7/2010

I have been a clear customer for 3 months now and i have yet to sustain an internet connection for longer than 20 minutes. I am on my 3rd modem, and still have no fix for my problem. Thanks for the horrible service. more

I love Clear, absolutely 11/3/2010

I have both the mobile usb for my laptop and the modem for my home and I ABSOLUTELY love it!! I never have problems with the service..Not sure what is going on in Jacksonville, but I am in Atlanta and the service is Fabulous! Was able to get rid of Comcast and save myself alot of dollars. I hooked the modem into a wireless router and my whole house became a hotspot...Love it and will recommend to anyone! more

My clear is so slow 11/2/2010

My clear is so slow I checked 4g coverage before buying I have 4g but when I try to watch a vid it keep stopping thank god I did not get the contract deal my cell phone broadband was faster than this. more

works great on the upper floors 10/29/2010

I've been working in Portland for the last few months, and have used Clear exclusively for my office VPN, browsing and streaming from the UK (Orb & Slingbox). For $50 a month you can't grumble. However, you really need to check the coverage where you are likely to be using it. It works great when I'm at my desk (9th Floor, near a window), but I get no coverage at all in the middle of the office on the ground floor. Same with the hotel - it works great on the upper floors, but no so well on the lower floors. The first hotel I stayed at didn't seem to have any coverage at all (near the Lloyd Center). more
